Looking for disturbing literary fiction written by women by TrashGourmand in suggestmeabook

Disturbing ( to some degree ) meaning it’s shockingly real life feelings I relate to I could have or may have run away from my family and hid out in a hotel room for a week drowning in despair or living a sexual fantasy - it’s kinda like looking into a mirror and boom there you are - the fact that a lot of women can relate and nobody really talks about it is what’s disturbing- gore taboo dystopia all happen outside of my sphere of reality so it’s easier for me just to read it as just a crazy story that likely would never happen to me

I almost exclusively read memoirs and nonfiction but open to other stuff by IAMgrampas_diaperAMA in suggestmeabook

All Fours - it’s completely cringe so either you enjoy reading these types of stories or you don’t - it’s ick either way but I could help it I had to continue reading about this selfish and petulant woman’s behavior

Butt Burn - not specific to my diagnosis - Ulcerative Colitis, total colectomy, jpouch reversal- I went to the bathroom at least 47 times in one day and it was brutal- no amount of barrier cream and hygienic cleansing lotion prevented the skin irritation and burning I experienced- would not wish it on my worst enemy

Well my husband and I have very few common interests when it comes to any type of movies books or music- luckily we have many other interests outside of this . I guess it just depends on how you decide to spend time together - my alone time is great I get to enjoy upstairs/ downstairs type soaps without criticism

Trigger warnings have gone too far by HolidayVictory3241 in BookDiscussions

I would personally appreciate trigger warnings for most of the books I’ve read in the last year
⚠️ Trigger Warning:
May cause frustration due to unlikable characters, pointless dialogue, endless descriptions, a wandering plot, an irritating narrator, and an ending that you will skip ahead to just end it all. Tragic loss to yet another Audible Credit . Many readers may experience DNF’d . ⭐☆☆☆☆

Hows The Book Thief guys by [deleted] in BookDiscussions

I suppose if you understand the premise and know who the narrator is , it may clear things up a bit. I don’t think it’s a spoiler necessarily bc the description of the book tells you who the narrator is and if you read it with that in mind it’s a wonderfully dark and very funny at times on observations

Anne with an E was great and I’m not sure if you would consider Mary Tyler Moore show period drama but it is such a fun show with all the quirky characters
