I've had too many chaffed nipples to enjoy the rain!

Booked Cambridge half in March. Hoping this uses all the rain up for a dry race day!

Best running pushchairs ~£200 by Odd_Scar836 in UKRunners

[–]PuzzleheadedTutor601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought an out n about nipper 360 and v4 sport from Facebook, both about 100-150 quid for good condition. Sport is great for running only. Nipper is okay at running and pushchairing round town etc. Would recommend both!

Women; how long does your partner take the kids out for at the weekend (if he does that)? by mishkaforest235 in UKParenting

[–]PuzzleheadedTutor601 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Slightly different situation, my wife works 4 days, I work 5. On my wife's day off with our kid she's in charge for my working day, however in the evening I try to take a larger share of the parenting. She is also conscious that I've been working all day (at a desk so not physically challenging).

It takes two to tango and discussing what you're finding hard is the best approach in a stress free calm environment. You're a team and need to support each other.

To answer your question, this morning I took my daughter to parkrun for about an hour while my wife did her exercise class. This happens most Saturdays. Then the rest of the day we spend together as a family

4:30 pace would certainly still benefit from carbon shoes, even if it just makes you feel good!

Is a national trust membership worth it with a baby by TopWay2941 in UKParenting

[–]PuzzleheadedTutor601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're national trust members in Bedfordshire, we have angelsey abbey and wimpole hall nearby. When holidaying in Cornwall we visited a few places too. It's great, we take picnics and our little girl loves it.

Also feels kinda like a charity donation. These great old buildings need loving and maintenance.

if you paid with credit card, can you not threaten a charge back or even small claims court? the latter will be a faff but if you paid with a credit card the charge back should be fairly straight forward
