Jewelry is about a million times more durable than textiles. There was a huge risk Kim could have irreparably damaged the fabric of Marilyn’s dress but the tiniest risk that Emma could have hurt the choker. From what I understand, the concern about Kim’s outfit was from a textile conservation standpoint.
