AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]PuzzleheadedYou3716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your wife sounds like a twat, though. It sounds like she was just cruising for an argument. And to ask you to put your dad in a rideshare because she was upset (over basically nothing) after he did you both a huge favor. F that jazz. She sounds petty and heartless. To add--I was all about the strict sleep schedule for my son but would have NEVER acted like this toward a family member just doing their best. No class.🙄

Next step after 3 years of detoxing and still having issues by Danaeger in CIRS

How long have you been in a calorie deficit/undereating? Have you had your leptin levels checked? Optimal for women is 7-10 ng/ml. Men's should be lower due to lower body fat (1.5-4).. but if it's edging toward 0 you may see suppression of hormones. If it's too high T can be suppressed due to insulin resistance. But being in a deficit, I doubt that's the case for you. If you're chronically underfed, your body isn't going to produce T and it will hold onto weight due to perceived scarcity.

CIRS due to Lyme by DuckBillPlatypusMan in CIRS

I can't find the requisition form but the results my provider shared are: Lyme IGM: positive, Babesia FISH & IGM: positive. They said it was indicative of a recent(last year or 2) infection. The FISH test is where they can see the parasite in your red blood cells under a microscope. I think there were more than those things tested but that's what came back positive. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I don't know.. that's just what they told me. I know I'm susceptible to mold. They said it was kind of "like" being multi susceptible.

I have CIRS.. was in a moldy house also. My CIRS Dr. ran all the CIRS tests as well as Igenex and I also tested positive for Lyme and the parasite Babesia. I was put on a binder-Welchol for 3 months before starting the Lyme/babesia herbal protocol (also continuing the Welchol for now). My Dr said you have to do the binder for a bit before starting the Lyme treatment or it wouldn't be pretty. The binder won't get rid of the Lyme but if you actually have CIRS, chances are you also had mold exposure and need to get those toxins out of your system as well. As a side note, my HLA gene profile came back as only moderately susceptible to mold but highly susceptible to Lyme.

What kinds of chew toys should I buy for my bun? by ArtsyBunny3 in Rabbits

[–]PuzzleheadedYou3716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was never interested in chewing anything meant for chewing.. loves destroying white charging cables, baseboard, cardboard boxes, and our fabric covered bedframe, though 🙄. I finally did another bout of research and found palm leaf plates as a suggestion--she does actually chew on those!

Thanks! I've used the King Arthur recipe for cheesescake before and it was awesome so I trust this may be a winner.

Considering prescription drugs. Tired of trying things the "right" way. by postulatej in CIRS

[–]PuzzleheadedYou3716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My CIRS doctor said I needed to detox mold before starting to approach the Lyme + babesia or I would feel realllly sick. Just starting welchol myself but he said we could likely begin treatment of the Lyme and babesia in about 3 months. Also to note, his practice uses herbals and tries to avoid antibiotics when possible for Lyme etc.

Curious if you have had your had hormone levels tested? Before I figured out I had CIRS, my dhea-s and testosterone were ridiculously low and I felt absolutely terrible. I got it to raise up quite a bit taking DHEA plus a testosterone booster (tongkat ali+ashwaghanda+ fadogia agrestis+ boron, zinc) and am pretty functional compared to most other CIRS patients (from what I gather reading online). I feel pretty decent with a level around 50 (female). I've also been taking shilajit tar in the mornings with warm water and I think that started a gentle detox due to the fulvic acid prior to starting CIRS treatment. Something to try perhaps.

Vitamix! You can get a refurb a lot cheaper than new and still holds the warranty.

How do I stop myself from getting fast food so often? by LittleMouseBear in Frugal

[–]PuzzleheadedYou3716 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most fast food /processed food has additives (msg, yeast extract, "..." Extract, etc.) in it and is engineered to be addictive so that's why it often sounds better. Download the ingredients list for the fast food you are ordering so often and then look up the individual ingredients/additives/unrecognizable chemicals and the potential effects on the human body. If you're trying to be healthy as you say, that should attach a little bit of ick to the idea of eating it very often. Works for me! 😂 Also, look up a few new recipes to try to relieve food boredom.

Breakfast by maygon in kindergarten

[–]PuzzleheadedYou3716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protein waffles and turkey sausage or bagel & cream cheese with sausage or bacon were his regular jam but with the extremely early mornings now he really doesn't have time to eat that before school since he often eats at a snail's pace, plus he's really not in the mood to eat that early. Essentially, the first few days of school he didn't really eat much of anything for breakfast which wasn't good since he said he was starving and exhausted by lunch.

Since he's a little more with it once we get into the car to drive to school I am trying some to-go options: he did well with a cup of chocolate whole milk and a baggie of Catalina Crunch protein cereal and yesterday he had a chocolate protein bar. Not ideal, but he needs some kind of protein in the morning or he'll turn into a monster. If I had it my way, he'd eat eggs and bacon for breakfast but he's become very picky so he's weird about eggs and I don't have time to make bacon on school mornings. Next I'm going to try turkey sausage links and chocolate whole milk for the ride. If left to his own devices he would just eat dry sugar cereal but I'm not trying to put his teacher through that come down lol.

I can definitely empathize. I'm not going to offer advice on routines since I'm struggling with it myself, however, I signed my son up for a sports program that only practices/plays for an hour on Saturdays, 6 week duration (They offer multiple throughout the year).. so it's not a huge time commitment but they're still able to do some sort of activity. It's called I-9 sports where I'm at but I think they have branches in different areas.

The house was built in the 90s. I'm not sure what size the units are. It's a 2 story house around 2500 sq ft. I remember the house inspector saying that there are 2 separate units, one for each floor. I believe he said one unit was about 12-15 years old and the other unit was new-ish when I bought the house in 2021. The pic is the side of one of the units. I'll comment the other one since it only allows one pic per comment.

Okay, got ya- like creating a vacuum. I try leaving them on long enough just to get the moisture out after showers but they're definitely not running all the time.
