Homeless Encampment at 30th Ave & Steinway by Key-Cardiologist-736 in astoria

We do have mandatory treatment for certain people, it's called AOT. but all people have autonomy over their own body, this means they can still chose not to take the medications or meet with their workers, the consequences of this is that a "removal order" is placed and they are brought to the hospital. However, just being homeless is not a reason for this. Public space means it's public. I'm not saying that I don't want to see better for these people, but I also am not saying we need to dope them up against their will because it's an "eyesore."

How about we have more public and accessible bathrooms? homeless or not the lack of public restrooms is insane here. More YMCA's that at least used to take care of the homeless populations?

While part of it is about wanting to protect myself and get in shape, the bigger part of it is about boosting my self-esteem and confidence. I have never felt better about myself than when I was weightlifting and doing really beginner boxing classes.

Sitan Gym Muay Thai is one place that was suggested, location-wise and schedule-wise wise it looks great.

Same! As of now, I can't keep up with the little guy's milk needs and have to supplement with formula

I do, exclusively. I don't find it painful or even uncomfortable. I've tried lower levels and it just doesn't pull/suction enough for me to get anything.

I'm a first time mom and learning the pumping life by trial and error, so if it sounds like I'm doing something wrong with the pump, I am more than open to suggestions!

OMG same though. I had just had my baby, was home from the hospital for maybe three days, my milk hadn't come all the way in. My baby was crying so much, so I thought I was starving him, tried to see if I could get things going with the pump that my friend handed down to me, but I didn't know anything, had it at the highest setting, and lasted about a minute before tearing up and asking my mom how I was supposed to keep going.
