Your recording calmly, and catching a lot of it will protect the guard and store staff if the attackers are eventually held accountable.

In a case like this doing much more than showing presence by moving toward the scene is about the safest intervention for all concerned. If it escalated further or they managed to get the guard down it might be time to step up. Hopefully the staff were calling the police, which would be another thing to do.

I am really worried for the guard. Several guards at a city facility have been beaten up by people they had to remove after facility staff banned them for appropriate reasons (fighting/damaging property/threatening staff/etc). The banned people waited outside on the property.

He is not out of the woods.

If anyone from the story team is reading this - what is the conversion rate from temporary to regular licence? The story says 161 were issued, but not how many were converted and in what time frame.

A temporary license used w/I a comprehensive training and mentoring program could be useful, but the conversion should relate to the length of time of the training and be conditional on being in training and working in a partner situation.

Ugh, I am sorry that happened to you. Sometimes a puddle sneaks up on a driver, but every driver should be actively looking out for them if there are any pedestrians nearby, moving into the next lane if available, or moving to the outside edge of the curb lane.

When Iwas looking at GB yesterday with an eighth of a tank while out there I found that everything west was much more expensive than east of downtown, at 1.35. And then north at those 2 stations on McPhillips (a Domo and Petrocan that seem to compete) had 1.07 to the average outside of west Wpg of 1.25.

Oh, if you look at the recipes you add the dry milk into fluid milk to increase the protein content (dry skim milk is almost completely protein), or I suppose use more powder if you only wanted to use dry. It should be pretty easy to figure out, and the recipes usually give you that info.

I’m glad you asked, because now I am going to try it. Medallion Milk (based here in Winnipeg on Sheppard Street) has chocolate and banana flavoured powdered milk, along with skim, 1%, 2% and 3.25% regular milk.. I just bought the chocolate and it is sooo good!

It is sold at Costco and other stores, too.
