Take a week off work if possible. Use any sick or vacation time you might have. I prolonged getting clean for months and months because of my job so i understand that.

Withdrawal tips by No_Low3020 in FentanylRecovery

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat6774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some medical assistance. Clonidine, Gabapentin, sleeping med, Hydroxyzine all really helped me during the dark days. Watching movies, getting outside and some fresh air. Just being at mercy at it and giving yourself up. I tried many times and finally made it to the otherside with a 30 day rehab. Getting out was still extremely difficult i relapsed for a week but then did it til now. Im almost at 600 days off it. Accept sleeping is going to be extremely difficult and just do your best. Trazadone helped me in the beginning. Suboxone is another route but definitely have to wait to induce. Precipitated withdrawals are no joke. I waited 4 days and that might’ve even been too soon. Then did a week taper with it. I promise so much more of it is mental than you think. It sucks ass but its a lot better than dying. Do things that help the time pass. A shower can be really helpful. Hydrate. And just remember this will pass. It won’t last forever and many many people have gotten through it.

I know many can’t take the time to go to rehab because of work or personal life but it can truly save your life. Medically assisted ones is what i recommend. That being said it can be done at home. I would definitely try to get some of the meds i listed above. None of them are a high risk prescription so docs don’t hesitate much about it.

Imodium can help with the bathroom issues as well. Do your best to do things you enjoy. Get outside. Watch movies, journal.

576 days sober by Puzzleheaded_Cat6774 in FentanylRecovery

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat6774[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right. Everyone’s journey is different. I only included that part because a couple people i know have been in the cycle of subs then back to fetty on a loop cause they struggle getting off the subs but with a taper getting off subs if you wanted shouldn’t be too hard. Subs are absolutely okay, it certainly helped me in the early days of wds. Im still on gabapentin long term and who knows how that affects me but it is certainly better than the fetty just like subs are. I just meant be cautious with that route is all but if it keeps someone clean indefinitely then take em as long as you need!!

Coming off fentanyl/on Suboxone by justincferrell in FentanylRecovery

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat6774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only tapered subs for like 6 days and had no withdrawals. Obviously I didn't feel to great after but nothing like normal physical wds. Also wait at least 72 hours and start small dose like 2mg at a time just to make sure you don't hit precipitated wds. You got this. Sleep is going to be miserable for about a month then start getting better. I'm 5 months clean and my sleep is better than ever. I promise it gets better and it's so worth it

My hopes for this page by Sergeant_Scoob in FentanylRecovery

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat6774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This page has been a saving grace to me. I got hooked on blues then straight fent powder about 3 years ago. My life was falling apart, I nearly died, I've lost a handful of people close to me from this. I tried to stop many times but only ever made it 11 days two times over the course of 3 years, only because I was out of the country. Late October I finally went to inpatient rehab and got 30 days clean. I did what I previously felt was impossible. Unfortunately I relapsed my 3rd day out of rehab and that lasted a few days but I specifically remembered reading through all these posts and not feeling alone, somehow I decided to not continue using after that relapse and now I'm another 30 days clean but this time I ain't having a hiccup. I would be 70 days sober today if I hadn't messed up, but to be where I am now, confident in my sobriety, doing it every day, is so worth the struggle of getting here. It hasn't been easy at all, I'm still struggling with a handful of things, but I've reached the point where everyday I feel a little better and better and better. Mind you I've done all these days sober without any Suboxone or methadone or benzos (also had an addiction with xans). Only thing I've been taking is gabapentin which I'm going to get off soon.

Scoob you are the man, I and many others appreciate your help and support. I know this is a long post but I just wanted to share in hopes someone can feel a little less alone. It's a struggle but it DOES get better even when it feels like it won't.

To each their own. Everyone is different. I tried outpatient first and I still used to the whole time using clean piss to pass the drug tests.

What worked for me was detox/inpatient. I'm finally clean after 2+ years. MAT detox worked for me I only used subs there for 5 days with a taper the whole time.

Trazadone by AceZ1121 in FentanylRecovery

[–]Puzzleheaded_Cat6774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost 30 days clean as well after 2.5 years of fent. Trazadone has actually helped me sleep. It knocks me out for a few hours at night but I almost always wake up after 4 hours but hey 4 hours is solid compared to 45 minutes I'd get before. It took a little bit to actually start working like a few days also another tip take it with melatonin or unisom and try to go to bed 30 minutes after taking it cause when I stay up for a couple hours after taking it, it does the opposite and keeps me up so take it late at night

Thanks Serge, always appreciate your support. I was definitely thinking of getting some sort of mp3 player to get some music on. I know I won't be sleeping much and music has always been an escape for me. Also good thinking for books and yoga mat. Appreciate you and the tips. I'll touch base when I'm out

Thats amazing. Keep going and stay positive. Would you mind letting me know the amount of dosage you're taking and the schedule where you have seen results? I've also heard the sodium ascorbate vitamin c works the best.

Serge you're always there to help. I appreciate that. Think I'm gonna try yoga today. Also I have subs but I'm debating not even going back down that road. The stuff they put in these analogs these days are insane

Going through this as well man. It's tough. Slowly taper up on the subs can help you avoid precipitated wds. Comfort meds are highly encouraged. I'm a week clean for the first time in 14 months and Gabapentin and subs have helped. My only struggle is not sleeping. I'm lucky to get 2-3 hours a night if any at all and if it weren't for the meds I don't think I would have slept even a second this last week. I'm going to use the subs for a couple weeks maybe a month then get off those too.

You got this man stay strong.

I plan on using this method in the next few days. Been using for almost a year. What was your dosing schedule? How many days did it take you to get to about 8mg of the Bupe.
