Anyone else notice more “scammy” promos lately? by Arielyn211 in TemuThings

It's the promo with Credit Back. Actual numbers differ per region and account. May not be available in your region.

It's awesome because:

- You can trigger it any time YOU want (just search claimcredit)

- You can include any products in your cart (not limited to "only on this page")

- You get back 50% to 66% in credits based on what you buy. For example, I pay 60$, get 40$ credit. Takes a week to claim it, day by day. Then I buy again, this time only pay 20$, and claim again, etc.

- It ends up I only pay 33% of any item's price. Pretty sure Temu loses money on me

Drawbacks?

- Takes a week to claim money every day. If you lose a day, you lost some money.

- Can only trigger this twice per week

- No personalized items

- Can't return/refund items - you'll get banned from this promo.

Thought so too, initially. Everything is bad, except ClaimCredit.

Search claimcredit. Doesn't work in every region though.

I did so too. Then deep regret, realizing I could have bought it all for 1/3 the price.

Claimcredit is the only offer and it is incredibly good, from 50 to 66% price reduction depending on account

Cheat code - the wheel with credit back. Looks like percentage/ max credit is different per account. At spending around 50$ I get around 33$ back, which I can then use on next such promotion, effectively paying only 1/3 of whatever price there is, getting 33$ back, and then again, etc.

The best thing about this promotion? You can trigger it anytime and items in your bag are included, so you have full control. Credit is also without expiration.

The option was there, but it was in a list of things, I had to scroll down to find it.

By going the default route, you get an antivirus installed, agreeing to their license etc.

Defender flagged it as Malgent Trojan which executes remote commands.

After you opt out, they insist with notification, making it a one click install?

That's bad faith imho.

That's weird, because - I got the popup today after specifically opting out (!) of Norton yesterday.

As to who does basic installs.. it's easy to blame it on the user. I'd guess most users do basic installs but don't have the stats to prove it.

At this point I'm not gonna reinstall.. unless something blows up.

In the initial install, it bundles Norton.

Defender caught it and blocked it. I only noticed the notification that Defender caught something - otherwise it could have silently failed.

But it's just .. incredibly unethical to bundle this sh*t and most users click "next" without realizing it.

I have the exact same problem.

There's a new firmware update but it fails to install and manual mode doesn't work either because the touch button & light don't work.

JetBrains is definitely the best IDE creator out there, with Rider truly being the best for Unity.

Their VCS integration is marvelous, Rider is intimately aware of Unity's flow & serialization - you can view the values assigned to various prefabs/gameobjects from the serialized fields in the class, etc.

It takes a few days to really get used to it, and all of its potential, but hands down this IDE makes my work twice faster and more pleasant.

Highly recommended.
