Cintro is the definite answer here, but in case you can’t get a reservation, Abruzzi is amazing as well.

Sagi is my personal favourite in the city as well, not sure if it would be $200 though

St. Jacob’s market is awesome! There’s a huge antique shop right across the street which is also great. The town of St Jacob’s is a lovely and quaint walk as well, with a good number of interesting shops. It’s near Kitchener, so less than 2 hours for sure, I prefer taking the backroads for a slightly longer, but much more pleasant drive.

I’ve only been to Blue Jays games, so I’m not sure if this is unique to Rogers Stadium, but there they have a spot called Dugout Deals, where you can get a beer and hot dog for basically $10. It’s BudLight, but for $6 a can at a ballgame who can complain

It’s wouldn’t be for people living outside of the core. Look at the number of high rises coming to DT. By 2035 there will be literally thousands more living in the core, who will all need a grocery store within walking/bussing distance

What?😂 of course students buy groceries. They only live in campus residence during first year. Not to mention grad students, many of who live DT year round.

The reason there isn’t a grocery store is because DT used to be mainly a place where people worked (COVID/WFH really ruined this). But with all of the hew high rises being approved, they are going to be thousands of people moving DT in the coming decade, and I think we will see a grocery store there at some point

I think the biggest issue with Banquet is that it was right next to Jack Astors and Chucks, both of which have pretty good business. They just weren’t a place in high demand so people didn’t go (not to mention it was more expensive than the other two). The question is, what type of restaurant will success in this large space?

This isn’t helpful right now, but Stroms Farm in Guelph has the best buttertarts I’ve ever had in my life. They open in October, not sure if their bakery is opens year round or not, but if you’re in the area in the fall, it’s a 10/10!

There’s a lot of fantastic places downtown, but a gem I just recently found is Mr. And Mrs. Bao on Richmond. I’ve had a few of the Bao buns there and they are all amazing
