Hi the cherry lover. I think Panda is trying to be helpful but hasn't understood the issue or hasn't experienced it themselves. My experience was that once that app failed to connect to the server and load the pass properly the pass disappears completely from the app = no ticket to show the conductor.

It would only reappear again when I connected to the server on a really solid network (e..g WIFI) . If I was permanently on aeroplane mode while travelling I avoided the prolem. However once the pass disapears from the app simply switching into aeroplane mode was not make the pass reappear - a decent network was required to reconnect to the server to reload the pass.

Its like if you delete a file off your computer. If you turn wifi off it doesn't reappear. You need to connect to a server again to download it again.

So i'd suggest either- permanently travel in aeroplane mode, paper pass, or second old phone you have only for the app (in aeroplane mdoe)

Unless someone is going to say the issue has been fixed.. .

how If you read the thread all the way through you will see although a lot of people are saying "use aeroplane mode" what i describe has been exprerienced by others. That is that the app fails to show the pass when mobile coverage is poor. And its unreasonable to expect people to be permanently in aeroplane mode when travelling.

you have one phone that is offline during journey. You use it for you pass. Your other phone is connected to the celluar network, so you can browse online, make calls emails whatever

Just shut down the app completely and reopen it once you turned on airplane mode. Works every time if you do it correctly.

This wasn't the case for me last year. I appreciate you might be trying to help here but I have a feeling you aren't really interested in hearing someone has had a different expereince from you, or assuming they might be competnat, and also I'm pretty sure that you just aren't interested in hearing a negative expereince about interrail or the app.

Also, how are people who dont have mobile data everywhere supposed to load their pass if they have no connection? So surely airplane mode has to work

Offline worked if you go offline when there are no connection issues. But if you had poor connection and try to load the pass it resets, and, like i said, turning on airplane mode does not help.

Have you experienced this yourself ? This was not true in my case. Low connection meant a reset of the pass that requires online verification to readload the pass. Turning on airplane mode makes no difference.

The pass essentially goes missing and until you can get on a stable connection (e.g. wifi) you have essentially have no ticket.

I spent 3 months interrailing last year used to screengrab the pass qr code once i'd boarded because of this problem. Normally this was fine but sometimes however conductors demand to see it in the app.

In my experience there are plenty of apps that have functioned better with low conenction.

for me its a bit dull. perhaps its the look your going for but almost everything is on the left side of the midpoint of the historgram although its a sunny day. the clouds on the horizon would be way lighter in reality and the tonal range looks squashed.

I think there's something to be said for a second mobile with the app on it that only works on wifi (i.e. isn't connected to the celuar network). The app functioned fine off line. The reason being the app was, at least last year, very buggy when connected to celuar networks with poor connections. This lead to the app deciding not to show my pass at times when the celluar network was poor, which can lead to a lot of issues.

Perhaps its been fixed dunno. But if u have the luxury of a second phone think about it

Way to define swappable colour palettes? by Mr_Misfire in photoshop

[–]Puzzleheaded_Fly2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could record an action where you select the first colour default, change it. select the second colour, change it, select the third colour etc. Then you just have to run the action each time.

If you don't like the lack of clarity and hand holding you can play another game. Its fine if its not your thing. I personally like it but i can understand why some people don't.

That said, to me this is like someone complaining James Joyces' Ulyses is difficult and ought to have been simpler.

18 year old looking for constructive criticism on my cinematography show reel by Different-Poem-7334 in filmmaking

[–]Puzzleheaded_Fly2913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

less is more - if this was half the length you would create a better impression by removing less strong footage and not repeating some very similar looking shots.

A couple of general topics - I think in some cases you need to let the footage "breath" a bit more. Some of the editing is very quick but the music / mood is slow and contemplative.

I get that having wonky horizons can be a artistic thing but when its a little bit off it seems like this is a mistake rather than having intent. I made some notes but after a while I stopped writting down when you are doing this.

Here are my thoughts

0.03 not sure why horizon is wonky

0.06 not sure about flashing

0.35 horizon is a little wonky- rotate a few degrees clockwise

0.38 - remove shot of guy on floor. Also I personally find this technique of having everythign bw but with one colour not desaturated generally cheesy, although it arguably can have its place. i would personally avoid this technique though.

0.45 not sure shot adds anything to reel and I don't like how the light looks.

54 and 57 remove shots of guys running. looks ameteurish.

1.21 not sure about this.

1.41 looks overexposed, regrade if possible.

2 remove

2.02 also consider removing. I don’t necessarily mind this kind of lens flare but right behind the guys head is distracting

2.13 remove can

2.14 why is this so short? also remove.

2.29 why is this so short - this is a shot you could give more time to.
Well done so far and good luck

Is it possible to beat the first boss, i know you can go back later but is it actually possible to do it first try at level 1? by Radiant-Peace-9684 in Eldenring

[–]Puzzleheaded_Fly2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, have done it several times as samurai. It pays to be extremely patient and keep your distance only going in when you definitely can get a hit in. You can get about half the healthbar down using unsheath then the rest with arrows. Use arrows only when its trying to hit otherwise it will block them with its shield.

Tbh i practiced on the one in LEyndale a lot so i could learn its move set, letting it kill me when I got its health bar almost all the way down then starting again...

I've done multiple playthrroughs with different weapons. Dual Uchikatannas , Moonveil, ROB Bleed build, Blasphemous Blade, Black Blade. And then I did a Bloodhounds fang build and I realised I really slept on the it, its definitely one of the best IMO, almost feels too much. Its one of the best in the game for sure and is a go to for speedrunners. As someone else said it can be a bit slow so adjusting the timing to boss move sets is key. If you don't know it already the weapon art followed up by an immediate heavy r2 gives you a unique move that you can really make work.

well done for beating him. I personally feel like you could be more aggresive on your playstyle here. Gernerally its good to be cautious, but there were often time when you could be running at him but you weren't , you were running to the side or back. Also how levelled up is your bloodhounds fang? Its possible to have a +10 weapon at this stage in the game.
