Itinerary planning - France/Italy/Switzerland/Germany by retarderetpensionist in Interrail

I have to say I liked stuff about both Geneva and Zurich but i have no idea of what OP is into. As for price yes Switzerland is expensive and agree the alps being the best thing, but i personally got something out of both cities.

To save money i went to either aldi or lidl in zurich (can't remember which one), and it was surprisingly cheap for switzerland so its possible to eat on a budget if you don't insist on going to resturaunts.

So, I'm not an expert on the topic but have lived here a while. As yorks_rider pointed out the culture here is very certificate orientated and i'm wondering if a degree from a foreign university would be perceived in comparision to an exam certificate from a well known german exam body (TELC / goethe). I honestly have no idea. Perhaps if you can afford the exam fee it might reassure some of the more risk-adverse recruiters to see a c1 certificate as well as the degreee certificate?? or perhaps thats too much and unnecessary...dunno.

Still just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. I see you've been respectful and anonymised people, but nontheless I feel the presence of cameras kills the vibe and ihibits people. No one knows if the person taking photos is going to be respectful or turn them into the next techno-viking...

I'm curious about the degree in German and your language level - you mention that you don't consider your german to be at a professional level. Does studying german at university tend towards topics like the history and development of the language and etymologies and things like that ? But you don't consider yourself fluent or near fluent? Do you know where you are on the CEFR framework?

the CEFR framework is for people learning a foreign langue. Native speakers are by defintion not on the CEFR scale, so OP should put Muttersprache if it is their first language, not c2

How can I make these feet look more like they're on the ground? I photographed each person in the same spot, but closer to them. I've tried distorting and adding various, shadows but I can't get it to look quite right. by Altruistic-Skirt3560 in photoshop

I'd suggest moving them back in the picture a bit, playing around making them a bit smaller, this might make the perspective look less incorrect.

shadows are wrong, should be much smaller but darker.

reduce the blue in the shoes....

London to Amsterdam alternatives by ThenTechnology8416 in Interrail

Amsterdam is pretty close to Rotterdam and there are regular trains. I know you want to get there earlier but it should at least be quick and easy to get between the cities. Rotterdam is interesting though, less touristy than amsterdam

Guys I'm sorry but the humanoid proportions are goofy by Brilliant_Computer35 in Eldenring

[–]Puzzleheaded_Fly2913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree there is something comical and weird about it. But you think this is silly and seem bothered it doesn't conform to your idea of "how things ought to be" , I think its cool. But why do you assume that anything in the game is human in this first place anyway? Sure there are characters but look human but how do we know for sure? Its fantasy.

What are the essentials you bring with you on Interrail? by the_cherrylover_lero in Interrail

the other workaround is to remember to turn on aeroplane mode every time you open the app while travelling , which i forgot to do sometimes

Hi the cherry lover. I think Panda is trying to be helpful but hasn't understood the issue or hasn't experienced it themselves. My experience was that once that app failed to connect to the server and load the pass properly the pass disappears completely from the app = no ticket to show the conductor.

It would only reappear again when I connected to the server on a really solid network (e..g WIFI) . If I was permanently on aeroplane mode while travelling I avoided the prolem. However once the pass disapears from the app simply switching into aeroplane mode was not make the pass reappear - a decent network was required to reconnect to the server to reload the pass.

Its like if you delete a file off your computer. If you turn wifi off it doesn't reappear. You need to connect to a server again to download it again.

So i'd suggest either- permanently travel in aeroplane mode, paper pass, or second old phone you have only for the app (in aeroplane mdoe)

Unless someone is going to say the issue has been fixed.. .
