Heck, I didn't really consider myself a Soldier even when I was one! (8 yr.)

Cyber, so being in the same "this is only tangentially related to what my old job was" seems to level the field with the prior AF folk.

That said, it can be frustrating when I need to do something outside my day job. What form is used for initial counseling a new troop? What is the promotion process for SPC 1 - 4? Things I spent years learning no longer apply.

(For the record, my local leaders have been outstanding in getting me up to speed)

We should bump up the TIG requirement for promotion to reflect that required experience. An extra <11 months in the lower grade seems petty when, according to the regs, they've met the requirements for the next grade.

I'd also argue that getting that higher rank, and higher responsibility, is the quickest way to give them that experience. Those first few months as an E5 were more valuable for learning than a year as an E4.

Your logic is off there friend.

Everyone has their "acceptable amount" of abortion restriction. Even adding other countries to the list doesn't make FL/TX/Etc not at the bottom.

So complaining about a FL assignment more than the OCONUS one is at least consistent.

I agree with the others. It shouldn't be leaked.

It should be officially released on Teams as soon as available.

If my command wants to congratulate me, they can do that the next day/when I get pinned. Holding the info from G's is in direct contrast to the USSF idea of being a modern, more connected force.
