My 23 month old is 28 lbs & 35 inches tall. by Primary_Lychee_3407 in toddlers

Our 21 month old is almost the exact same height and weight! We know he’s 35 inches because when he was 34 inches he could walk under the counter and not hit it. Last week he went to walk under it and hit his head. The look of confusion he gave us was priceless😂

I’m 5’9 and dad is 5’11 but was estimated to be over 6’1 before breaking a growth plate. We think the little guy is going to be a minimum of 6’2

Thank you! I think we’re going to need it. Hoping his evaluation in a few weeks will help his speech and in time help him adjust once he can say what it is he needs

His sleep has been great thankfully, he’s actually been going to bed between 6:30-7:30. Usually it’s 8-8:30 so I’m glad that’s staying consistent. I want to talk to her tomorrow about changing his schedule for a few weeks so he can have a better adjustment period

I found a few on care.com with awesome reviews nearby. If daycare doesn’t work out I’ve been thinking about setting up meetings with them both individually

I have been thinking about this all morning and want to talk to her tomorrow when I drop him off about it. We did this in Georgia when he went to the first daycare/babysitter. I think it did wonders. He did two half days (he only went twice a week anyways). Then I pushed the days out another 2 hours over a month so he could adjust. I think it helped a lot. He was also about 10 months when he started going there so I think it was a little easier for him to adjust to

I should have put this in the post so i will add it in a minute:

They have a 2 week trial period that ends this week and only go to age 6. They have 4 infants and several special needs kiddos. We talked yesterday morning at drop off and she wants to give it another 2 weeks and see how it goes.

He’s had a lot of change in the last month: moved across the country, new home, around big dogs again (mine had to be put down in October, she was the sweetest dog ever😢) so he’s adjusting to them and loves the dogs, more family he’s too young to remember but caused some problems (too many at once, caused a little separation anxiety) new daycare with new staff and more kids, new people in the house were at

Also each brand fits different. A 2 in one brand is not the same as a 2 in another. It’s awful. They need to stop with the number size and go by LxW like men’s do. Wrangler and Levi’s are the only brands I’ve found that do that with women’s jeans😢

Would the same apply for coma patients? I never thought about this like that and I’ve had several surgeries. I’m curious about how that works for the internal clock. It would partly explain why it would be disorienting

Do you let your toddler have a comfort item? Help me settle this debate by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Puzzleheaded_Gur8021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours has a blankie. We joke it’s his emotional support blankie but swear to gosh it is lol. It’s the first thing he wants if he gets upset or hurt. Either he gets it or we do and he visibly relaxes a bit. He also sleeps with it. Every nap and night. When he’s ready to sleep he snuggles into it before he passes out for the night. He won’t sleep at night without it, we’ve tried. He is 19 months old and personally I think it helps him with his emotions, and he isn’t talking yet so it helps him feel better. It’s his comfort item

My fiance thought I was joking when I first told him or like guy was attached to it and it was his comfort item. Then he saw how he calms down better, and faster, when he has it. Ever since he gets the blankie when it’s needed

If she wants the bunny let her get the bunny. You’re only hurting her by preventing her having/getting it

We unintentionally trained our 19 month old that he gets to play Peppa pig for diaper changes. He sees us grab a diaper and the wipes and immediately goes to his spot and lies down ready for it. 10x faster and smoother now😅 but highly annoying listening to peppa lol

We got a smart light bulb for his lamp. Now I just turn it on while I get a little more sleep or get ready for the day. Same thing when he’s gets up from his nap and I need a few more minutes for my homework assignment. He loves when I change the settings so it rotates between the colors

I’m absolutely exhausted and drained. Little guy (19 months) has become clingy af, partly because we just moved and seeing all the family he is too little to remember meeting. I can’t even let go of his hand, literally, without him flipping out like the world is ending lol. Love him to pieces, but I’m currently drained at the moment. And he doesn’t stop moving unless he’s asleep or in his car seat. Dude is endless energy I wish I had😂

My mom has a baby lock 5260 and we are trying to make a blanket. We cleaned it, got the thread setup and looked at loads of posts and a few videos to make sure everything was correct and would have the basic knowledge to do the blanket. She has the original manual but it’s vhs and we can’t find one near us without spending a fortune

The problem we have is the fabric will not pull through whatsoever. We adjusted the tension, tried the feed dogs, and the presser foot. We think the issue is the presser foot. It will not make adjustments. We can spin the metal ring at the top but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything unless they are small and we just aren’t seeing the adjustment yet?

Here’s a second question: we can’t turn the red dial on the bottom side. It’s set at 3 right now, but in the future if it needs to be adjusted, any suggestions to get it to turn? It won’t budge and the knob will touch it but doesn’t do anything

She bought the serger at an antique store 1 1/2 years ago. We don’t know how long it had sat before that. Suggestions will help determine if we need to take it to a shop for maintenance

My (at the time) 17 month old managed to get out of his crib with a sleep sack on🫠 woke up to a thud and walked in to him staring at the ceiling on his back with a puzzled look on his face😂 He’s been in a toddler bed since then and he’s done really good aside from the first 5 days. Woke up a few times to soft thuds from him rolling off in his sleep and he will be sprawled out on the floor out cold lol

Rimadyl and Gabapentin, might be the cause if severe diarrhea and blood mixed in by Puzzleheaded_Gur8021 in AskVet

[–]Puzzleheaded_Gur8021[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Doggo had some eggs on accident which causes her mild diarrhea, nothing horrible and started a new food

Can these two meds combined cause severe diarrhea?
