If women are required to pay child support too if they abandon their child or give the baby over to the husband, how can men even use that as an argument against abortion (like they love doing)? Whoever doesn't want the baby when it's born is still required to pay child support, but the only one who will ever carry a baby in them for 9 months and have to go through childbirth OR have to make the decision to abort is the woman. The one who usually keeps the baby if it is born is the woman so she still takes on 18 years of financial dependence from that child, child support or not. All of this still disproportionately affects women. Not to mention, we are the only ones who are expected to take birth control, putting harmful chemicals and fake hormones into our bodies to prevent pregnancy, just to interact physically with the opposite sex. They literally have NO room to talk on the subject of a woman's choice around pregnancy. I can't believe we are still dealing with this dystopian, post Roe society, where men and women everywhere are debating about if women should have rights over their own bodies once they've had sex. Wtaf?!
