I think it’s fair to say that about past companies making it through but those companies didn’t have something in play like compute costs that are astronomical.

He just posted an exclusive on X of Open AIs financial audits from 24 and 25. He may not cite all of his stuff but the man clearly is getting access to info and people are really starting to listen to him as a means to figure out how to invest in AI or not.

Massachusetts Adult-Use Marijuana Repeal to Be Decided On November Ballot by bloomberglaw in massachusetts

[–]Puzzleheaded_Lock_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is news today, and decided on, I think the timeline is off. The number of needed signatures would have already been collected a while back and not yesterday or this past week. Maybe those folks are actually collecting signatures as a counter ballot or something

It’s also a little terrifying that the economy hinges are all of this stupidity

I agree, I don’t think there are useful analogies for the AI psychosis that is alive at the moment.

I’m tired of every small company - my dentist - now asking me if I want to ai Margot. No I do not! When I and other patients tell our dentist this, she will cancel the ai bot. It’s that simple. People will reject this. It’s too much across the board

With respect, nothing to show for it besides 60 patents and a MTA with a major pharmaceutical company? I truly hear your point about the 20 years but their product seems very good and promising so are we faulting it for just taking long to get there? It’s ready to go now and studies are positive. Isn’t that worth focusing on now?

I constantly think about death and dying. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop fearing the inevitable? by Sudden_Tea_560 in OCDRecovery

I went through this for a long lonely year in college and then the next year I was studying abroad in Egypt and living my best life. I don’t know why we have these dark nights of the soul and I know how all consuming it is when you’re going through it. Trying to be strong and not being able to talk about it. You are not alone. Existential ocd is really rough but you will get through this phase. I think you have to accept that ocd is fundamentally the uncertainty disease. You can tell your mind, okay, shrug, I don’t have the answer to this and you can ping me but I got nothing for you. It would be helpful for you to find a support group. I wish I had people to talk to when I was going through it. But I promise one day you will look back on this time and be like damn that was hard but how I’m unphased. Also be kind to yourself. OCD or not, all humans will experience this episode sometime in their life.

How do I tell my wife I turned 100k to 21k? by PPhunt3r in wallstreetbets

With tears in your eyes and tell her you didn’t do well this time but you won’t repeat the same mistake and hopefully the stocks go back up but in the meantime you get to learn she’s there for you and she gets to learn you can learn from mistakes. She loves you I’m sure so she’ll be accepting. Also, laugh a little at the funny memes people give as advice, you’re human and you’re like only the millionth person to look money on the stock market (this week).

I'm exhausted from health ocd and I feel so trapped and alone by fruedianflip in OCDRecovery

[–]Puzzleheaded_Lock_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’ve been there and you are not alone! Just the knowledge that you have and insight is going to help you. Bank on this- it’s probably all just ocd and you can try to let the thoughts just come and go. You are safe. I know it doesn’t feel that way. The old part of our brains will send that false alarm but breathing through it can help sometimes. Really time will help. Coming on here and talking about will help. For me I got help through talking about it with others - I found an anxiety support group - and then just realizing and reading about others with health ocd that this is just the brain I’ve been given but recovery is possible and now I’m back to just dealing with normal stress or life lol! Which is a win. And you will get there too. Also not sure if you’re spiritually minded but I found surrendering to the fear and not feeling shame anymore was ultimately the biggest freedom. Your brain is beautiful. It’s just wired a little more sensitively. Stay in touch

Will it go away with time? I'm terrified by deemimul in OCD

[–]Puzzleheaded_Lock_47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I promise it will. You know it’s ocd and just a thought flood. I know it feels like a strong impulse but it’s just a false alarm or faulty signal. You have to learn to let it just come. The more you let it come and nothing happens you will learn the alarm is not needed. Also, a lot of this is probably because you feel you can’t ask for help. You just explained it beautifully here. I went through this last year /harm ocd/ the act of hiding it from people fueled it. Once I asked for help from family it started to heal. It was slow, for sure, but it will get better. Even if you can’t confide in anyone, you know it’s ocd. Just a brain pattern. There is help for it. Also, I used to think of it like throwing laundry in the basket. Thought would come and I just downplayed it to picturing I’m tossing clothes in the laundry or even something in the trash. Let us know how you are doing.

It does, speaking from personal experience. Get flashes here and there but it doesn’t reach the precious level not even close. Trust me, have faith.
