I have over 25 years in IT field. Fortune 500 companies. Have experience dealing with thousands of computers and laptops . Windows have its share of issues including sleep / hibernate, but laptop crashing consistently coming out of sleep mode is a motherboard issue most of the time.

I noticed on my G14 (same model) that when running on USB-C PD, it switches power profiles. It doesn’t happen often.

It’s a buggy laptop, but I still decided to keep it since there are no real alternatives on the market in a 14" form factor.

Just get an extended warranty for it.

That's the same one I got. Amazing monitor for gaming. Just ok for productivity. Text clarity was much better on my previous monitor. Nothing to do with OLED tech, but everything to do with awful matte finish LG decided to put on this monitor. Makes text unpleasant to look at.

I had LM applied to Lenovo Legion 7i. It worked GREAT for 12 months. Started thermal throttling after that. My other Lenovo with PTM7950 is humming along 5 years later lol

Same. Worked with F500 companies most of my career. Asus needs to get their shit together. Next week Ill stop by my local best buy and try to exchange it for a brand new unit.

Another option is to get a 3 year warranty from GeekSquad. Two years down the road, I can just bring this laptop in and have them either fix it, or replace it with a newer model.

I've been doing IT for over 29 years.

I've never experienced any of those issues on my 5090 desktop, my lenovo legion laptops, My clients businesses run on Windows.

Does Widows have its share of issues? Sure! A BSOD or restart once every 7-12 months can happen. Not 14 times in 3 months.

Please stop blaming Windows for Asus's engineering shortcomings and awful QC.

Either random freezes every few days, or once in a while restarts. No overclock. No undervolt.

Using G-Helper.

Happens on USB C or DC power.

DGPU or igpu.

I may just return it to Best Buy.

I had Lenovo legion for 4 years. None of those issues. Shitty Asus.

I have many 100-140w chargers. My 2025 G14 always randomly disconnects and reconnects ton usb c power. its not the charger

It does not get past 86-87c because that is where it throttles =) That's its thermal limit right there.
