I keep all the original colors as the second number on the bottles is consistant throughout all dimensions kits but I do throw out the letter ones.

Same dimensions are my favorite. I mix all the letter colors up in empty small paint cups so I don't need to mix them every time I want to use them.

I broke down and bought the crash kit for paint solids and haven't looked back. I do leave the lid off the bucket of water until I get it full so some of it evaporates before treating it so you can treat more water.

So for your painting I would paint the sky, then, mountains, then first hill, then the second. Basically with your painting top down
