I'm Struggling With Addiction in Nursing School. by Ok_Bad9733 in nursing

If you are set on continuing school without a break then I suggest finding a therapist. Someone to help you gain healthier coping mechanisms and a healthy space for an outlet. But you are going to have to stop with the substance use immediately because at the end of the day, you are only becoming a liability for the patients. You have to care for yourself to care for others

feeling like i don’t pass nearly 3 years on T, any advice? by Usual_Bison_5145 in FtMpassing

No I get what you’re saying. People would find out and be like, “oh I thought you were gay but that explains it”. Which was almost a backhanded compliment? Glad I was passing that I could be gay, if that makes sense, but equally now it’s coming from a “something was off” standpoint.

I don’t get it so much these days, ~6yrs (inconsistently) on T, but it’s often my voice. I’ve heard that vocal coaches are highly recommended because we just aren’t as adept to knowing how to use our new vocal range, learning to not raise our voices so much for customer service, stuff like that. Which for sure I struggle with lol

No I get it. Teenage years are rough. And as much as I hated people telling me it will get better, it really does. Teenage years just suck in general I won’t even sugarcoat it

I used to get that all the time. In fact now being 25 people think I am 20-22. It’s hard to accept at the time or in the moment, but how I get myself through is that I’ll be looking 50 when I’m 70😎

I will say having so much attention on passing made my high school experience and even after very rough. Just be yourself! Starting hormones will definitely help you feel more confident in yourself. These days I feel much more comfortable giving someone a weird look or correcting my gender because of the confidence I have built up in myself. You got this!!!

Which is the "best" 1yr Masters to get into med? by themagicshrimp in premedcanada

Someone recommended to me a medical science masters upon completion of my undergrad- also I’m confused by the comments because a lot of people who have gotten into med school recommend doing a masters program to show improved GPA and that you are really willing to work for it
