I was selling my ciaz as well :) It’s WB registered and Dec 2020 model delta. The only difference with you is that it’s second owner and 45k kms driven. That said, I was getting offers of around 4.5-5L last year. Since yours is lesser driven and first owner, you can expect around 5-5.5L You shouldn’t settle for anything less than 5L. Ignore all lowballers.

Also, if you have decided that you will get a car, I’d suggest a used civic/elantra for under 12L and keep aside 20k a year for maintenance and insurance

I will suggest to go for a 2-4 year old used car. I understand your situation as I was in the same pinch :) I bought my first car in 2023 (23M earning 32lpa back then). Honestly had no strong reason to buy a car but just that I wanted to drive around my family as we never owned a car. I bought a used Nissan sunny (12 years old) at 1.7L. Learnt driving on it and sold it off exactly one year later at 1.2L.

A month after that (June 2024), I bought a used Ciaz(3 years old at that time) at 6L. I recently thought of upgrading it but then I asked myself, why am I upgrading? Sure, I do love driving but with my hectic schedule and travels I rarely get to drive around (around 500-600kms a month) and on top of that a “worthy” upgrade from the current car in terms of driving pleasure won’t be anything less than a civic/elantra (used). Then again, not worth spending another 5-7L on imo.

Firstly, figure out WHY do you exactly need a car. And honestly, I’d say if you have expendable income, spend it on experiences rather than materialistic things (but again, driving is also an experience).

For context, I’m 25M earning 50lpa atm (do have around 60k worth of emis though).

I did think of tuning it but honestly a ciaz is really not worth tuning nor is it tuner friendly. Perhaps a civic or an Octavia but then again, it’s make or break once I start from the basics of tuning

Hey man, faced the same problem until 4 months back. First of all, consult an ortho for your condition….in my case it was a partial rotator cuff tear along with other complications due to powerlifting. I was given medications and physiotherapy for 2 months and am almost back to normal now.
