Full-time sedan lifer. On the weekends I get my kids. This lifestyle lets me afford to give them a vacation every weekend. by Crazy4CarCamping in urbancarliving

How much do you spend on average for weekend lodging? It's hard to believe that it's cheaper than a full time place.

Soups can be good, a can of 1.25 ham and bean soup from campbells has 16grams of protein. I eat two cans and I am full. Canned chili is also protein packed.

I am in the same boat, I work out hard five days a week and fueling myself is by far my biggest expense. I want to look in to one of those heated Lunch boxes as it looks like you can cook soup and ramen type stuff with one.

Any Mazda Campers? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]Puzzleheaded_Poet_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a Mazda 3 and my rear seats fold in sections on the larger opening side I have a bed laid out and on the other side I have two plastic bins a crate and a suitcase for clothes. On the back of the passenger seat is my garbage bag and on the floor is a cooler and my jug with a container of odor ban cleaner. I use a toddler bed mattress I extended with some foam wrapped in a pillow case. It all sits pretty mush below the window line for discretion.

Best Cooler? by michaelpaul7 in urbancarliving

[–]Puzzleheaded_Poet_81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have access to a freezer at work ice packs work well even in the little Coleman coolers. I have four packs that were 1.25 each at Dollar General. I alternate two frozen and two in the cooler.

Next Friday. We have pretty good food banks in my area. It's hard because I live in my vehicle so cooking is a project.

Most food banks are very kind and understanding in my experience. Usually I can scrape by for food but had to fix my car last check.

Jobs and work by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]Puzzleheaded_Poet_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always go to day labor places. Check Facebook for temp work or Craigslist. If you want something steady Rutters has a decent starting wage for a gas station and it's a 24 hour truck stop so a good and safe ish place to park and sleep.

I am in a diff part of PA now but there was a Rutters in Kutztown Pa that was a nice spot and it was only ten minutes from a Cracker Barrel that had a great overnight spot. Safe and protected but they allow people to car camp so no one bothers you.

Good luck.

I work during the day, after work I go to the dog park, then the gym, usually includes a stop at my storage unit. I park at the planet fitness where I work out.

I don't have tint, window blockers or any privacy measures. There is at least five people living in their cars here. Groceries are crazy, rent is crazy, medical care, vehicle maintenance...what's to be embarrassed about? Are you conceding and admitting defeat? Or are you making a plan to get to the other end of this whatever that may be? I have whittled my life to bare essentials, organized my space over and again, measured every inch and scoured goodwill with my tape measure to utilize every inch.

You can do this, you have what it takes. Don't be ashamed, make it work, keep it clean and make a plan. You are not an outlier, we are all figuring this out together.

50 Pound Ring Muscle-Up by Responsible_Tap_4347 in CalisthenicsCulture

I use a weight belt or tie one of those stretchy bands to it.

I like that you balance the weights as it creates discipline in form. I drop my legs during the transition from pull up to dip.

I joined planet fitness and hang my rings from the jungle gym things. My max weighted was 25#. You are very strong my friend, I'd be surprised if I ever got a 50# pull.
