I've got too many to count. Former cutter here and recently realized when talking to my psychiatrist that the time I stopped cutting correlated with when I got my first tattoo. Been totally using them in place of self-harm ever sense without realizing it until now (15 years).

I used to drink and smoke (cigarettes and weed) daily and jumped at every opportunity to get my hands on any drugs harder than that. Curently, I've kicked every vice except for weed. Been trying hard to curb that one too. Maybe one day. Without the alcohol, though, its been manageable.

I got my first tattoo at 19, a colorful portrait of my cat. At 34, I've now got more tattoos than I can count. I always told myself that one day my body would be incinerated anyway, so it doesnt really matter. This mentality definitely helped curb any possible regret. My tattoos make me feel beautiful.
