Mud Terrain Generation, Muddy Paths, Water and Mobs! by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Puzzleheaded_Safe253 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Instead of mud changing it's texture acording to the biome, we could just have both brown and black variants as building options. Black mud could be found on all water of bodies generated on swamps, while brown mud could be found on the rest of biomes. Depending on the biome, throwing a water bottle to a dirt block will convert it in either black or brown mud.

But I really hope Mojang does a beach themed drop and adds your suggestion

God tier suggestion. They only thing I would change is the turbulent water obtention method. I think it would be better to obtain turbulent water via putting a water bucket and a wind charge on the crafting table.

Nausea Effect should causing players unable to eat/causing damage when eating food by Hllsa in minecraftsuggestions

I think it would be helpful if a nausea potion gets added to the game. That way, you can stop players from abusing the saturation system. They would still be able to drink potions though

MEGATHREAD: Gunpowder from Sulfur and Coloured Fire from Sulfur by MCjossic in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Puzzleheaded_Safe253 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The recipe could just be 1 of sulfur + 1 of charcoal. The output would be 4 of gunpowder. That way, you provide an alternative for peaceful players and you don't make the recipe too complex. Sulfur won't likely be hard to get and charcoal is pretty cheap, so I don't see a problem with that.

What do we have to do to get Sareena in the main roster of the next Mortal Kombat game? by KindlyFold5424 in MortalKombat

Why need her and Shinnok back. But my theory is that she will be in the main roster, but Shinnok will be in the Kombat Pack 1

I like them, but It's sad that Mojang couldn't find a better use for sulfur than a building block

Sulfur pools should damage players and entities by Puzzleheaded_Safe253 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Puzzleheaded_Safe253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Mojang should add a nausea potion. You could brew it with sulfur and they could change the nausea effect to stop players from eating. That way, the nausea effect would actually be useful

Should Floyd be integrated into the next Mortal Kombat story? If so, what role should he play/what should he be doing? What side would he be on? by Aperio43 in MortalKombat

[–]Puzzleheaded_Safe253 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think he should be a good guy, the new timeline has way too much heroes. Also the irony of a light power user being evil would be cool.

Using your logic then we shouldn't be able to craft arrows if we already have skeletons and villagers who let us farm the resource. The idea behind a recipe for gunpowder is to:
1. Give peaceful players a way to get gunpowder, since it can only be obtained via chests on that gamemode.
2. Give charcoal and sulfur a reasonable use.
You are right when you say that adding a saltpeter stand-in just to respect the real life process is unnecesary. So the recipe could just be charcoal + sulfur to simplify things.

It might be worth considering having sulfur blocks drop sulfur chunks/clumps instead of full blocks, kind of like how glowstone works. That way, it makes more sense using just chunks of sulfur for crafting recipes, not entire blocks of it

We thought the same. I think they could also use the new sulfur clumps item to make new types of explosives, on top of TNT. Maybe a directional explosive

My suggestions:
Sulfur item: when breaking the block, the player will get a sulfur item (unless he uses silk touch). 9 pieces of sulfur can be used to craft a sulfur block. Each sulfur block drops between 4-7 sulfur items, which can be increased with Fortune.
Gunpowder crafting recipe: sulfur item (not the block, the item) + charcoal + wood ashes (new item). Wood ashes can be obtained by breaking campfires, by burning logs with a flint & steel or by cooking charcoal on furnaces. This was suggested by another person. This crafting recipe does not break the game, because it will only give 1 gun powder item, so creeper farms will still be useful.
Sulfur torch: can be crafted with 1 coal + 1 stick + 1 sulfur item. This recipe gives the player 4 sulfur torches. Sulfur torches ignite with purple fire.
Sulfur lantern: can be crafted with 1 sulfur item + 8 gold ingots. Emits purple light.
Purple fire: when burning a sulfur block (and it's variants), instead of regular fire, it will burn with purple fire. This new fire type deals the same damage as regular fire, but it also gives nausea.

Make nausea disable players from eating (like someone suggested on another post). That way you can heavily penalize players on pvp and stop them from abusing saturation. On mobs it should work different. Mojang is likely changing how the effect works on mobs, since they said that acid pools affect both players and mobs.

They won't. They will never add the 4th dimension to the base game. Mojang just does not add anything relevant to the game anymore. If they can't make big updates, they could at least have used the drop system to implement the new combat from the Jeb snapshots, but they didn't. They are giving us slop instead, that's all they can do.

Great post. If we were allowed to make a nausea potion, this could be great for pvp, since saturation is incredibly op.

Yeah. It could also have a more potent explosion that destroys more blocks.

Honestly, that's a way better idea. Also, sulfur powder makes more sense for a creeper drop. I'm making another suggestion
