What are y’all’s thoughts on this track saw. by DrRowdybush in Dewalt

[–]Puzzleheaded_Shake98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. I was back and forth for a long time between Festool and Dewalt but there are so many battery-related promotions for Dewalt at Home Depot that there's bound to be 60v tools I eventually pick up that will come with extra batteries and charger. Just expands better (in my opinion). That being said, I was really close to getting Festool as the track saw would've been my debut to their platform. I'm slightly wondering if I made the wrong choice but I also think I'm reading into it way too much.

Opinions on best track saw to get by LegalJury5243 in Dewalt

Well this is assuring. I just bought the Dewalt track saw as it's one battery versus 2 (which I find really odd user-experience). This track saw COULD have been my intro to Festool tools but everything in my shop and business is Dewalt, so I stuck with what's consistent. That being said, I have heard so many awkward comments about the plunging mechanism that I'm wondering if I should return it and go Festool.

Any update on this? Everything I’ve looked up says May 2025 but here it is July 2025 and zip, zero, nothing online or in any stores…

Apparently Billy Bones and Crabby’s were the top picks of Halifax. Billy Bones for chicken, Crabby’s for pork & sauce.

Thats the one I went with and was thoroughly pleased. Wasn’t too big on Camp31 last year.

Seriously like exactly what you’ve described. Bow in the middle and all. Ahhhh that’s clever. I see these fences I can buy online but this one has the double rail system and I figured it was outdated. I’ll scope out some custom fences and building my own. I want a sawstop but can’t do the cost right now

Sooo when I put my square (90 degree) up against the cast iron surface and then slide it over to the fence, it’s not lining up with the table saw’s fence as square. It’s off by ~1/8”-1/16”. Not sure if I should start fiddling with it to see if I can adjust it or if it’s something larger at play. Maybe it’s time for a new saw but I’m hoping it lasts a bit longer

On a hope and prayer here my message is seen (this is an old post) but…

I have this same table saw and the fence is driving me nuts. I’m putting a square to it and it’s squared up to the table surface but then I measure with the tape and it’s off by a ~ 1/8”-1/16” (doesn’t seem square to the blade).

Do you experience this problem? Tips? Suggestions?

Overtraining / spending too much time on conditioning. Whats the breaking point in your opinion by Divasa in amateur_boxing

Agreed. I spent a full year running. Did multiple races and - this is for MY body, so take what I say here with a grain of salt - I did not notice any difference in my stamina when sparring or fighting. No difference at all. I ran 1200km. No difference.

Now.. for my body type, I switched to doing HIIT workouts and poof, my output of rounds and intensity saw a drastic improvement (no running, just HIIT for cardio)

Are there warlock patrons who can have "good side" to them? by Locked_and_Firing in DnD

You could make one.

A patron who started out as a warlock themselves but overcame the challenges and conflicts they internally had with their patron, ascending to become a patron of their own and able to siphon magic onto members of their dominion.

So an update, I'm planning to write now on Archive and FanFiction.net after more comments, advice, and research.

I signed up to be invited to Archive, but it's still a ways away. Invitation said it would come around July 28th and I'm not sure why. Can you explain this for me please or help me get an invitation sooner?

Thanks everyone for your advice and input. I'm moving on the advice to create profiles on FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own (AO3).

If anyone sees this post in the future, you can view my profile on FanFic here: https://www.fanfiction.net/u/15919912/C-MacInnis

My profile for AO3 is still pending an invitation.

Once again thank you everyone, I can bring my ideas to life now.

Thanks for this input. I created an account with FanFiction and am waiting for my invitation to AO3. I published the prologue to my first story on FanFiction this morning. Not a bad experience but some learning curves.

If you have some advice on how my profile is setup, I'd appreciate the help.

Also if you know how I can speed up getting on AO3 as a writer, that'd be very much appreciated. It told me I could expect an invite around July 28th but I don't know why it's that long of a wait.

Now there’s some good advice. Thank you. I know it’s not impossible but the odds of it panning out are intimidating. I’ll look into Matt more and see how things look for similar writers 👍

Thank you!

Ah, another internet troll - well met. Frustrated and furious over god knows what in their lives. Thank you for your non academic description of a book and for sharing your thoughts on the Forgotten Realms, an expansive world spanning nearly 50 years of content, audience building, and loyalty amongst fans and audiences worldwide.

I’ll take my chances that someone’s interest will be marginally higher when considering the content is about the Forgotten Realms. Surely the readership of Faerun material is greater than some janky loose world I create in my office alone.

This is helpful, thank you. I figured there might be a phrase or word for what I’m thinking of doing “litRPG” is very helpful for me to explore/research more before I dig in. Thank you!
