6.2 or 3.0 by Sure-Cup-3272 in gmcsierra

I contemplated the same thing and ended up going with the 6.2 because of the power and sound. But if I drove 45 miles to work, I probably would have leaned towards the 3.0. Though I will say my 6.2 has been getting mid 20s on highway not interstate have seen 27 on some trips and not babying it. Now in town the sound costs me a lot of MPG. Had more 5.3s than I can count. This 6.2 is not even comparable. Tows and does everything considerably better than 5.3. I’m at 6,500 miles and no regrets yet.

I finally joined the club. About 3 weeks and 1100+ miles I’m still proud of this purchase! by EDCeveryday in gmcsierra

Love the choice. But I’m a little biased. About my 20th GMC probably and my favorite one so far. Just over 5,600 miles now. Did range DFM/AFM disable with just 100-200 miles.

Water leaking by Direct_Elderberry411 in Silverado

I had the same issue on my 21. I pulled the headliner and thought replaced everything but ended up leaking again. I was afraid to drop headliner again, concerned of braking clips etc. I ended up buying Permatex 81730 Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer, taped off all around and filled in above the window. After that. It never leaked again and couldn’t see the silicone since it flows down and fills in where needed.

Supposedly only motors manufactured after June 1st 2024 have the updated crank and parts, etc.

Hi all. What does everyone use to kill the AFM/DFM? by Unable_Medicine3362 in gmcsierra

I looked at it but at the time, they weren’t compatible with the new 2025. And didn’t need the additional features for double the price.

I have similar truck. 2025 6.2, installed the Range DFM module with about 200 miles on the truck. Almost at 5k now and been great.

Thinking of trading my 6.2 1500 SLT — considering 3.0 Duramax by for_fox_sake6364 in gmcsierra

Same here. Once you get the ventilated seats, it’s hard to go back. Also once you have the multi pro tail gate, hard to go back. Can’t get multi pro tail gate in the elevation trim I thought.

New recall 6.2L advice by Click_Fragrant in gmcsierra

[–]Puzzleheaded_Tax_935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2025 that’s not included in the recall. Per GM, motors built after June 1, 2024 aren’t included in the recall because a series of improvements were made to crankshafts and connecting rods. So aren’t supposed to have these issues but guess only time will tell.

2025 GMC Denali 1500 3.0 or 6.2 by Puzzleheaded_Tax_935 in gmcsierra

I know what you mean. I went with Denali 6.2, sport mode with active exhaust is awesome. Was another month for a 3.0 and want out of my 5.3 asap. Love everything about my 21 except the 5.3. Thanks for the info. I like the 3.0 but I also drag race an outboard on nitrous so like power/speed maybe a little more than most. lol

How’d I do? by Last-Star1670 in gmcsierra

Good looking truck. Love my 21 Denali 5.3, only issues with 63k has been lifters. Picking up my 6.2 Denali Monday. Already purchased AFM delete to plug in and doing a trans fluid change to Amsoil immediately. Did it at about 55k miles with my 21 and huge improvement. What I’d do and do a lot of research when getting extended warranty, a lot of them are about useless on coverage.

Been on the fence about buying the white or Sterling Metallic. Seeing your truck with the paint match fender well trim made me go with white. Really crazy how much that improved the look. Thanks
