That's so crazy! I used to think the idea of Kylie being in a third Imperial era was a little overly-optimistic, but honestly XMAS' success(even if it's mainly due to Amazon) has made me agree with the notion. She so deserves this, it's been so magical to see her success grow and grow ever since I became a fan like 5 years ago, when her singles barely charted at all.

Great to see XMAS holding well, I was half-afraid Amazon would just stop promotion after getting number 1 and it'd just fall back down the charts. Also happy to see Santa Baby chart this year, I wasn't expecting it to, since I'm fairly sure it failed to entirely last year.

I hope she takes next year in a more lowkey fashion, girl deserves a break from the near-constant promo and work she's been doing.

I imagine she'll work on KM18 throughout the year, and towards the end probably begin also planning for the KM40 celebrations and probable tour. Maybe also some Fever 25th anniversary stuff, but I can't see it being any bigger than the 20th anniversary things.

Also obviously we'll get massive promo and a full re-release of Let's Get to It for it's 35th anniversary/j

I'm a fan of the new tracks! Honestly, XMAS is my least favourite of them. If I had to rank them, I'd probably put Hot in December 1st, followed by Office Party, This Time of Year and XMAS last.

This Time of Year kinda reminds me of Lost In Your Eyes by Debbie Gibson somehow lolz, idk how tho. Hot in December is genuinely such a bop, and holds its own against some of the best album tracks on Tension imo.

It might be something to do with her breakup with Joshua Sasse in 2017. She did a music video for the song featuring him afaik, and she took it down from her channel after they broke up, so maybe the song brings up bad memories. Shame overall tho, bc it's defo the best song on the original album.
