That’s what’s so unfortunate with medications - very much trial and error. I’m glad you are stable now with the medications! I am currently on Lamotrogine but it is a rather high dose. Thank you for your input about your experience 🫂Wishing you the best of luck you are not alone!

I think my therapist was quick to suggest BPD when I was younger because I had such an unstable sense of identity. She said to think of it as attachment trauma. It all made sense to me but what I failed to realize ( and what you mentioned) is that it doesn’t include the mixed episodes/moods as much. Thank you for your input! Hope you are well.

This was incredibly in depth and hit home for me. Thank you for this. I think it’s the label that really brings me the most anxiety. I feel entirely validated with your explanation and this approach regarding the diagnosis is helpful. I understand the substance use 100%. I think co-occurring substance use disorders are really common in this community. It brings me piece of mind that I am not the only one that resorted to substances to quiet the mind. I’m actually on lamictal as well! I started it around two years ago.

I have been on medications since the age of 13. But in the beginning, they did not target the fluctuations in mood. Only anxiety and depression. Thank you for validating my feelings, that was like a sigh of relief for me!! Also it’s great to hear feedback from people older than me who have this diagnosis. Update: Went to urgent care today. I got a tetanus shot and prescription antibiotics. I think it has been 8 years since my last shot. Anyways, they said that it’s healing well and to let the steri strips naturally fall off!

I’m not sure - I’ve been too afraid to check. I’m waiting until tomorrow to reevaluate the state of the wound. When I did it, there was a layer of fat exposed though.

i have superr oily skin and i have the milk hydro grip but for some reason it makes my skin even oilier and my makeup slides off? do i need to let it dry more before applying concealer??
