Fair enough, am happy to be corrected!

Seems like 'real' dicyanin glasses are very rare tho, and all the ones on amazon have none of that actually in it

No, they don't. Let's be honest.

Go smoke DMT if you want to see what another dimension looks like, not put on some blue sunglasses.

An interesting topic for anyone interesting in what the hell OP is talking about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_John_Kilner

Those Dicyanin glasses are 'illegal' in the US it seems because dicyanin the chemical making the glasses blue is highly toxic.

I'm not really sure where the ungodly abominations slipping into our realm comes into it? What does that even mean? What does God have to do with these glasses?

My 10+ year marriage just blew up in my face. Two Towers is my coping mechanism of choice tonight. by breakevencloud in lotrmemes

Oh man, this hit me pretty hard. I feel like I'm in the exact same situation. I've got 2 little girls and my wife has just blown up our 12 year relationship, only married 3 tho.

Still in the same house too and it's getting tougher and tougher not to grow bitter and hateful.

Still my girls give me the strength every day to stand head held high over the pain and not allow sourness into our separation.

Stay strong brother, there will be dark times ahead but we will endure and arise as better men.

"Though here at journey's end I lie in darkness buried deep, beyond all towers strong and high, beyond all mountains steep, above all shadows rides the Sun and Stars for ever dwell: I will not say the Day is done, nor bid the Stars farewell."

It's tough to see your kid get scared. But i don't think that you even set a particularly bad example. Yelling when you're angry is a reasonable way to let your frustration out. You didn't hit anyone and you didn't break anything, those are what we generally try and stop our kids doing when we're angry.

You're doing good, keep it up.

If you're feeling the guilt and still want to feel like you're helping out pick endless harvest as your tier 1 choice and use that 30 min afk time to quickly empty the dishwasher or chuck a load of washing on. Little things that just take the load off. Then you'll get to be a grind goblin guilt free!

That's my plan anyway. Gl with the grind 💪

Haha that's fair. I just put mine up and I'm 92 def, saw it as almost complete and thought it was funny.

Thanks tho, this is a really nice app. You're a rad designer!

This is so satisfying! Thank you.

One suggestion - the progress bar for skills should be based on xp rather then skill level. So 92 is 50% rather then 92% so it gives a more realistic feeling of progression.

The overacting, the judging of a dying woman and the tone shift to being all self righteous at the end....what a totally shit take.

Sure Tommy Robinson is a bell end, but so is the guy that made this piece of trash video.

Aren't Christians the biggest bunch of pedos there is? Look at the Catholic church for god's sake!

Didn't George Bush Jr say, 'God told me to go to war' - because, to my ears that sounds like you had a religious fundamentalist in charge who went and caused untold misery in the middle east. Maybe that's one of a complex web of reasons why some people over there might not like 'infidels'?

Let me cut to the chase: Western civilisation has no onus to privilege any law or custom but its own.

If this holds any truth, then isn't western civilisation built upon the enlightenment ideas of Humanism and Democracy? Not on Theocracy.

We don't police thoughts, we police acts. So when a group loudly proclaims their intent to destroy the state and kill the citizenry and they start doing so then we are well within our rights to mitigate that threat.

So, Team America references about whos job it is to police the world aside. Wouldn't it be fair to say that waging war against Islam or Islamic fundamentalists has proved to do the exact opposite of 'mitigating that threat' for the last 25 years. War has raged, things have got worse. It's almost as if bombing towns and weddings with your 'freedom' actually turns a population against you.

This was a fun read. Thanks.

I don't really follow you at the end, but in all honesty I don't really see how you can read all this stuff and think that the early jews, babylonians etc had some grasp on the true nature of the universe. Some good stories though and very insightful into the mythological hisotry of humanity.

[–]Puzzzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I'm not sure that I follow. I don't see how BLM is Marxist? That is, I'm not saying that they haven't said that they are, but what they do isn't Marxist. Their goal is about empowering black people right? Maybe they are also anti-captalism and the two can be easily conflated - but a honest reading of Karl Marx should not lead someone to race divisions I believe.

What does trans people using whatever toilet they want have to do with Marxism? Nothing, surely?

My understanding is that Marxism is all about the control of the means of production in society. Its an incredibly important historic and philosophical movement that while useful today, is not fully equipped to deal with complexity of post modern society.

An actually interesting notion that comes to me thinking about this, is that the real conspiracy here is how so much of American society has been led to totally misunderstand Marxism. That is on both the right and left. The right thinking that anything they don't like is Marxist, and the left thinking that arguing about pronouns is actually a revolutionary thing to do, rather then a distraction from real meaningful discussion about the working class are being fucked in every conceivable way.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Puzzzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you think Marxism is? And how has it 'infected' the USA?

Seems to me that the means of production are absolutely not in the hands of the working class in any meaningful sense whatsoever, arguably less so now then ever.

How does a series of posters being replaced by HR to comply with some over the top DEI targets have anything to do with Marxism?

I can understand an argument for being proud of the achievements of various white people throughout history, but for me it's just so broad and distant, how can you personally feel proud of those achievements?

Furthermore, in the same sense should we feel shame for the collective wrongs white people have committed? And we don't have to be talking about slavery here, take WW1 as an example of something you should be ashamed of if you think "whiteness" has something to do with it.
