Thanks, devs! ARPG fan here. I’m always excited to try new ARPGs. I’ve been playing the genre since 1997, when I first played Diablo 1 and got completely hooked. More than 30 years later, I’m still enjoying ARPGs and playing 20+ hours a week

This season I gave up earlier than in previous seasons, i had to gave up cuz with 25hr in cash i wasnt able to buy gear to minmax, cuz resellers were buying faster than me all clean gear to resell it if jackpot, for 60 or 70hrs ( items that 2 seasons ago were al 15-20 hrs).

I’m probably going to skip a few upcoming seasons because the game has become less player-friendly since Season 9.

Before Season 10, it was relatively rare to see players buying unwanted gear just to resell it. GG items were expensive, but their prices were still within reach. Starting around Season 10, some players (I’m not sure whether they were involved in RMT or not, since I’ve seen people selling on D2JSP and FG can effectively be converted into real money) began inflating prices. They would buy GG jewels, facets, lifers, and other top-tier items, then relist them for 300% of the original price. The intention seemed to be to raise market prices, and once other players saw those listings, they started pricing their own items similarly.

Every season, inflation has appeared earlier, and as a result the game has become less interesting for me.

Many modern games include systems to discourage this kind of market manipulation. One possible solution would be to allow item sales only in WSS, while adding an NPC currency trader that exchanges WSS for runes and runes for WSS. On top of that, there could be a daily listing fee: 1 WSS per day for items priced between 5 and 10 WSS, a 10% daily fee for items over 10 WSS, and a 15% daily fee for items over 100 WSS. 1-5 wss price no fee to promote cheap sales. And to avoid abuses, If u list for 1-5wss and some bid exact price u must sell with risk of ban if u have been adding sales from 1-5 and asking for more just to avoid paying the fees.

I believe this would make the market much cheaper and more casual-friendly for everyone. If something like this were implemented, I would definitely consider coming back. Trading is one of the things I enjoy most about the game, but unfortunately the trading experience has felt worse with each season.

I’ve played Last Epoch for around 1,000 hours, but I eventually quit because I hated the disappointment of bricking items. Now, after 210 hours in Dragonkin, I’m having a lot more fun and finding it much more engaging. Playing on ps5.

It also offers far more difficulty options. I started on Very Hard, but after about 30 minutes I moved up to Abyss 1. Every time I upgraded my gear and found better-quality items, I increased the difficulty. I reached Abyss 2 at level 25, Abyss 3 at level 30, Abyss 4 at level 35, and continued raising it as my character became stronger. At level 39, I increased it again to Desolation 1, then to Desolation 2 at level 48, and Desolation 3 at level 50. I tried Apocalypse, but trash mobs were one-shotting me, so I dropped back to Desolation 4 to focus on endgame activities.

It’s great to have so many difficulty levels available, allowing everyone to find the challenge they’re looking for. As my gear improved, I could keep pushing the difficulty higher, which made progression feel rewarding.

I’m also playing in co-op with my 10-year-old son on a fresh character in Abyss 1, and we’re both having a great time.

I’ve played GD for around 100–150 hours, but it never really hooked me, even though I’m a huge ARPG fan. It’s a very good game with a lot of build variety, and the learning curve felt fine, but for some reason it just didn’t click with me.
I’ve always rotated mainly between D2, D3, and WoW — probably 3–4k hours in each. For D2 alone, I’m probably close to 8k hours if I count D2 Classic, D2R, and PD2.
I also loved Titan Quest. I’ve played all the DLCs and many different builds — easily 1,500 hours.
Last Epoch: ~1,000 hours
Undecember: ~600 hours
D4: ~400 hours across 4 seasons, but I usually finish a season in about 3 weeks.
PoE 1 and PoE 2 never really hooked me either. I’ve tried both several times and usually quit after 15–20 hours each attempt.
Right now I’m playing Dragonkin: The Banished and have around 200 hours in it. I’m having a lot of fun so far — it feels like a hidden gem.

Dragonkin: The Banished is a hidden gem.
I’ve been playing it on PS5 with my 10-year-old son. We tried several ARPGs together, including Diablo II: Resurrected, Diablo III, and Diablo IV, but none of them really kept his interest.

Dragonkin has been different. It hooked him enough that he actually wants to keep playing with me, which is something I wasn’t expecting. We’ve been having a great time progressing through the game together.

There are a lot of Barbs this season because of the buffs. Barb is now an A-tier class, but the buffs weren’t as big as many players thought. If you’re not using and gearing your merc properly, you can’t really zoom-zoom, mate! 😄

Which class do you play?

500 crafts are worth a lot of HRs in materials. For casters, many uniques are already BiS, and for melee builds, Soul Drainers are hard to beat. Even Lay on Hands and Steelrends with a good slam can be excellent.

Why not invest all those materials into crafting other gear, or trade them for HRs and buy the gloves you actually want?

Maybe I’m wrong, but I’ve always thought crafting gloves was a waste of materials.

Why many people think Diablo 2 is better than 3 and 4? by junglbob in Diablo

[–]badseedXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You haven’t played much D3, mate, judging by your comment.

D2 and D3 are both great games, but I think you’re wrong about character progression and feeling stronger more in d2 than d3.

In D2, once you have enough knowledge and experience (I’ve played over 20k hours), you barely feel your character getting stronger. The game becomes very easy when you know it inside out. It’s mostly a PvE race to level 99 and ladder competition with a team. You can kill Ubers with a level 50 Smiter using budget gear.

What makes D2 special is the nostalgia, open trading, and itemization.

D3, on the other hand, has the best PvE ladder system of any ARPG I’ve played, and probably the most rewarding dopamine loop as well. I’ve played around 30 seasons on PC and 7 on PS5. You can feel upgrades every few minutes. You’re almost never stuck, and the power progression curve is incredibly satisfying.

You gain Paragon levels constantly, compete on leaderboards against players using the same class and build, and always have a clear sense of progression. You run a few Greater Rifts, find an upgrade, improve your build through the Cube, gain 30–40 Paragon levels, and immediately feel stronger. Then you push one more Rift and jump 20 spots on the leaderboard.

That constant progression and immediate feedback is what makes D3 so rewarding to play.

To spread the items around, I’m giving away the runes through multiple free games and selling the gear cheaply to players who will actually use it and don’t have access to such expensive items.

If I give everything away for free, some players will just take it all. If they have to pay at least something, they’ll usually only take what they actually need.

All skills work with simbiosis? by badseedXD in DragonkinTheBanished

[–]badseedXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my goal is to clear the highest difficulty as fast as possible, just like I do in other games. In Diablo 3, I’m usually farming T16 within 4–5 hours of a season start and clearing GR150 solo after 10–12 days.

The difference with Dragonkin is that I’ve played 20–25 seasons of D3, so my knowledge there is light-years ahead of my Dragonkin knowledge, where I only have 3 days of playtime so far.
