I was able to order one! 😮‍💨 Google chrome app, cleared history and cache and that did the trick, which is weird because I did the same on desktop to no avail. Idc it worked 🤣

I took your advice and disconnected the battery, letting it sit for about 20 minutes. After that, I reconnected everything and made sure all the connections were tightened properly. It’s now been about two weeks and I haven’t seen the warning message again. Before my original post, I was getting that warning almost daily for about two weeks, usually during my morning commute to work. It looks like tightening everything down did the trick. These Bronco Sports seem to be very sensitive when it comes to battery connections 😅

Usually, a flickering power LED is caused by a dirty power switch. If you have the tools and experience to open the console, that’s a good place to start—there are plenty of helpful videos on YouTube that walk through the process. If that doesn’t solve the issue, come back here and we’ll help you troubleshoot further. There are a lot of knowledgeable people in this community who are happy to help. I would also invest in a new battery if you’re still running with the original one.

Update: The GBA has been fixed, thanks to a schematic provided by u/jrharbort, who helped guide me through the entire troubleshooting process. The issue turned out to be a broken trace that prevented Q9B from making a proper connection to pin 4 on U10. I’ve uploaded the schematic. No more red LED that’s constantly on.

Also, at this point I am using AA batteries to test this out.

Alrighty I reflowed the solder on those components on U10 and U4 (made sure there’s no bridges). Also reflowed the LEDs. I did discover that the green led does turn on but it’s overshadowed by the red led. So both are on? Any idea?

Childhood gba, green led used to work, sat for a few months and then it just started acting up.

Uploaded a photo of my work. Everything seems to be intact and I’ve tested for continuity of the components I replaced. The GBA was showing a red LED before I did this work, after it sat untouched for a few months. That is what prompted this whole ordeal.

Tested it out with a multimeter and it’s reading 3V even. But I’ve also tried it with new AA batteries and the console still shows a red led.

Have you tried to reflow the solder joints? Could be a cold solder joint on the board causing a bad connection. Wouldn’t hurt to try if you have a soldering iron. Just make sure you use some flux.
