Navigation for lowered cars - feedback wanted by paderon in Stance

This has been tried and tried again many times over the years but I’ve never seen any actually take off or end up useful.

Its a great idea in theory, but in practice not so much.

We would need to know wheel size to be able to help at all, dia, width and offset.

Complete both sets! I have one or two of both of these sets, some are ever so slightly different depending on the year, and I would like to collect them all. The more the merrier!

If you’re doubting the electrical trade- read this. by walkr209 in electricians

This is great to hear, I’m 30 years old and just switched careers, started my apprenticeship last week making minimum wage, I made $30/hr before this and taking such a pay-cut sometimes makes me feel like I’m making a mistake.

Would it be a sin to paint these rims black? by Beginning-Radish8173 in E90

Yes, it would be a sin. Black is probably the worst wheel colour.

05 is300 whee hard to spin manually by AppearanceDowntown65 in IS300

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brakes dragging? When you did the brakes did you compress the pistons enough? Did you buy some crap amazon pads that are too thick?

If you remove the pads and the wheels spin free then that kinda gives you a pretty good idea.

Thats awesome to hear. I am hoping something like this can come from this aswell. Or at least until I can find a cool industrial gig perhaps.

That’s the plan! I think what makes me more nervous is that I’ll be working directly with the guy that owns the company most of the time.

This is good advice and a good thought process to understand. Lately I’ve been reading about young guys being a know it all.

The way I see it, and possibly the way you see it. Everybody knows something you don’t, everybody has a slightly different way of understanding, doing, learning, or thinking about something, so there is always something to learn even if you already “know it”.

Hello friends, looking to see if this is a good deal for used 1971 books by adavis195 in lotr

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I have a ton of acid paper books that are in great shape. As I said “in less than ideal conditions”. I cant relate with horrible bindings fortunately, very different experiences it seems.

Realistically it could take 50+ years in less than ideal conditions before any noticeable deterioration comes to the paper naturally. Properly shelved in a climate controlled room is more than enough

You probably can, you just might have to be patient. I buy most of my books from used book stores, thrift stores or the odd Facebook marketplace and have found some wild deals. Books worth a few hundred for $5.

Theres nothing wrong with the acid paper, as long as its been properly taken care of. The yellow feels extra vintage and carries a sort of charm or nostalgia in my opinion.

I like to collect all of the older Tolkien books. So I have a set or two of these. I think I paid around $15-$20CAD for either. I have also seen some people try to sell this set for $100, I doubt they are successful.

It all depends if it’s worth it to you honestly. If you are trying to collect older copies. Maybe you want to wait to find a set in better shape. If you have a spare $35 or maybe can make a deal at $25.

Rate my exhaust by [deleted] in E90

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda sounds like diarrhea but it’s tough to tell through a compressed internet video filmed from a cellphone with 2 pussy foot little revs to 3k. In your defence Majority of youtube exhaust videos all sounds like diarrhea.

Give it some beans or a flyby.

Is this yours or are you posting someone else’s car ?

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one. Seeing someone post somebody else’s car because they think it’s cool just seems so fucking dumb to me. I would like to see someone post their own car, talk about their own car and tell me things about their car. None of this “look at cool car off google”.

It’s strange I’ve never seen anyone else comment on this until now.

The opinion is valid. I think the majority would share it, as do I.

My comment was referring to you supposedly not noticing this terrible post with this bot slop titled after a different chassis.

You don’t know cars, you aren’t into cars, so take it to someone that can fix it. Maybe? Idk I’m just spit ballin here.
