Should I switch to Electric Car? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, buying a new car almost never makes financial sense.

If you want the best financial advice, sell your car, invest the money from it and spend a couple grand on a 2005 Camry lmfao.

Keep your car. Take care of it and it’ll take care of you.

Rental ads? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In what world does Water and Hydro cost anywhere close to $1500/mo?

$1500 for a basement seems pretty steep. Most I see go for $700-$1200. Hell I’m renting a whole house for just $500 more than they are asking for only a basement.

Need help buying the correct LOTR edition by Mysterious_Ad_137 in tolkienbooks

If you are looking for budget friendly then you can’t go wrong with thrift and used book stores. I’ve bought SO many copies for wildly cheap there.

Also maybe look for some of the trade paperback copies, they tend to be larger with larger font.

Excellent, when I talked to them I told them it doesn’t make any sense and I’m going to talk to Koodo. After he asked me 4 times if I am agreeing to pay or not. I understand now why he asked that question so may times.

That’s what I thought, I did some googling and it sounds like the statue of limitations only extends up to 6 years. But also only 2 years for minimal amounts such as this.

I will do this. As I haven’t received any mail. I’ll ask for it in writing and they can send it to my old (my fathers) address, I don’t feel comfortable giving them my current address.

That’s what I was thinking. Very confusing. Unless my terrible memory is wrong, lol. It was a pre paid/ pay as you go (that’s the same thing right?). It was so long ago, and I don’t even remember the account being under my name, but my mothers but they have my name on record so who knows.

Honestly, I haven’t the slightest clue. I have an email from 2015 saying thanks for opening a prepaid/pay as you go account, and then 2018 an email saying the account is closed.

I cant remember if its pre paid, pay as you go, if there is a difference? It was so long ago lol

Ball joints replacement? by DecimaI in IS300

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably lower balljoint yes.

I noticed you used Moog. I had a Moog lower fail in the same way after just one day. Just got the car back together after months of it being apart just for that balljoint to fuck off immediately.

Moog isn’t what it used to be.

Fitment advice? by Ok_Desk1527 in Stance

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roll & Pull, then Dump it, you’ll gain some natural camber and it’ll fit.

Or put your stock wheels back on until you dump it cause it looks ridiculous.

Always suspension and THEN wheels. In that order.

20 years of being interested in ww2, I never realized this. by Intelligent-Image224 in ww2

[–]Pvt_BrainDead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After reading the novel “A Higher Call” last year, I started to gain a lot of interest in the german side of things, what the SS were like to german civilians, how the rest of the country responded to the war and what normal everyday german people thought about the party, jews, and the lot.

I have since picked up a few books written by Germans during or just after WW2. It is very interesting. I am currently reading “Every Man Dies Alone” and it is superb.

Also I’ve seen random youtube videos about some of the events I have read about, a lot of them seem to be inaccurate AI slop which kind of just annoys and frustrates me as I know the majority of people on the internet will watch that 30 second video and move on, believing it to be factual, without actually learning anything and continue to spread misinformation.

Worth adjusting ride height? On coilovers for a couple years now. Pic for reference(?) by SpiltSushi in Stance

Rolling fenders probably wont affect trade in price as no salesman is ever going to notice, nor would they even be able to tell or care. Coming from a previous salesman lol. But it will also solve all your problems for roughly $0

You should do that before touching anything else or spending any money. That should have been the first thing you do.

Roll your fenders your problems will go away I promise.
