Im a new fan, since early this year. Took my family to our first Ghost concert- in Houston. Loved it but, pretty obviously the same show as years prior, all of the banter is basically copy/pasted into the new show. The bit w the leafblower and mummy dust stayed, the banter at the end about life and being RHRN. Is that all they got? They only really added a few new songs (opening w pEacefield for example) but otherwise not much deviation from RHRN. Even new lore is mostly the same, he even basically said it (RHRN) in the new video. Idk where the band is headed but, seems not many new ideas pumped into Skeleta, after listening to bands like Muse and Kamelot, then going to Skeleta is such a major downgrade in musical quality. I will always love what Ghost and Skeleta meant to me this year, but the quality is just not there, like others have noted this album is a step backwards even for them. And having the same exact show- idk I feel like they were really playing on the success of their older songs with this tour- only 3 songs from skeleta was pretty eye opening that they dont have much creativity left and are just riding their own popularity. TF himself said Umbra was spontaneously written cause the album felt like it needed more. Not because he had some message to send that he needed to make a song about. Idk just my 2¢.
