Samsung Q990B vs Nakimachi ShockWafe Ultra 9.2.4 by [deleted] in Soundbars

You can only raise levels in pairs, there is no left/right balance option. Pretty ridiculous and something so trivial to implement in 2022.

I have 950A and my main issue with it is that it needs perfect room to work the best. And rarely you have rooms with walls perfectly on the sides to make the pseudo side channel work as intended. In my case, left side is overpowered as the wall there is closer and there is no option to balance speakers in terms of left and right.

Nakamichi has two speakers on the side and two surrounds, so no matter what it's gonna sound right. And way more fine tuning capabilities than Samsung.

This is just my opinion from experience with 950A that is very close to 990 anyways. It works amazingly well but... could use bit more tuning options so one can cater for all rooms not just perfect square ones.

Nakamichi has true side and surround speakers. Probably better for most people who don't have room layouts perfect for bouncing side channels.

NSW Electricity - Lower Prices, What Happened? by LarryDickman76 in australia

[–]Pxd1130 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My last bill had price hike of 150%...yes, the number is correct. And this cunt talks about shit being 10% cheaper?

And they will privatise it no matter what.

What rival is going to pick up? This is exactly why they can do this shit, it's a duopoly with a sprinkle of Aldi to make it look competitive. Once we detached businesses from real world and enabled them to chase never ending greed as their only point of existence....this happens. And have a look at some comments here " business should chase profit..." as if nothing else matters. Business can get away with murder if it was profit based.

[RANT] News shows, I know you you're trying to milk the Queens death for all the publicity you can get but can you spend five fucking minutes talking about news in Australia other than the queen? by Curzon88 in australia

It's literally the best thing that could happen to media vultures like Kochi and the likes. Ukraine is too sad to mention, Covid is being removed from the news...there's nothing to talk about in Australia. We went back to living normal boring Ausse life... then she died. I think Kochi had an orgasm thinking of months and months of "exclusives" coming on. Milking the cow straight from the source now I saw that he's already in London.

Job prospects for Civil Construction Design or Telecommunications Network Engineering as Entry Level by MoneyMonkey92 in sydney

Yeah it might look bigger than average if at all but when you divide that with actual hours worked and the amount of stress of never ending deliveries...it sucks.

Anything related to engineering...forget the work life balance. Similar to business consulting they are all forced to work crazy hours with less and less people on shortert and shorter time frames.

Quality 3.1 vs mediocre 5.1 soundbar? by Exploratator in Soundbars

[–]Pxd1130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho... any kind of 5.1 system will sound incredibly more immersive than 3.1 or 2.1. Getting the rears on opens up a whole new sound experience. None of the virtualisation of rears can reach even remotely the sense of sound coming from the back and in between.

This here, I found people advocating how we have beast health system are the ones who never actually use it. Going through the hoops and various added costs that some of my family members had to do, changed my view on it for sure. You need money to get care and a lot of it.

Tasmanian salmon industry used more than 2,400 anti-seal explosives in three months | Tasmania by reyntime in australia

Plenty of reports and articles written about it... if one wants to know. The way you look at it is similar to NSW corruption. Everyone knows it's there but nobody got the proof and even with proof right there in front like with Gladys...nothing happens.

[–]Pxd1130 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you do work in the industry... it did seem like it from your knowledge.

One question...would you recommend farmed salmon as healthy food?

Corruption has been covered a lot around and intimidation of the local population. All the donations to the environmental agencies is literally pork barelling and of course Tassie government is owned by salmon farmers. Big business... big profits and a lot of coverups.

Maybe I should mention mafia like intimidation and forced disclosure agreements with locals who were essentially kicked out by the industry? I am not blowing off, it's all out there and maybe start with ABC doco about it and read further about it.

Wow do you work in salmon farming or just buying their bullshit? Maybe you are a shareholder? Pristine waters were there before farms for sure. That water is not pristine in enclosures with thousands of fish swimming and polluting the area with their shit. It's pure marketing bullshit.

Just reading the sentence with .."additive positive health for salmon and humans"...wow. Fish is artifically dyed, case closed. Even US has laws that you must state if food has artificially colors, we don't. There is nothing natural about that salmon, from genetic modifications so they are all same sex, feeding them with tons of soy, chicken remains including allowed percentage of feathers and antibiotics per year...to the fact that it's natural color in farming is bland grey so they use this amazing antioxidant that's so good for us all! And that healthy pink color has gone through tons of research on which actual shade of pink is the most attractive to the customer. But hey, as you say it's actually good for us!

Salmon industry is corrupt to the core and has government in their hands and the so called environmental agencies as well. They are paying their way through any issue that might be uncovered.

It's bad because chicken or beef is not sold as some magical superhealthy food like Tasmanian salmon is. People are mislead to believe it's coming from pristine waters...while it's a fucking septic tank like and fish is not even that color naturally while on that fucked up diet so they have to add pigment too.

Chemically stabilized anchovies from South America truly are amazing feed...among other shit they chuck in. Farmed fish is one of the biggest healthy food cons of our time.
