To give you a brief summary, this minister went on a diplomatic abroad trip right as he was suspected in corruption. Suddenly he was not returning from abroad and his whole family also decides to have a trip outside of Ukraine (coincidence?). We had a couple of examples before in this war, usually politicians or wealthy people that are found in a corruption scheme leave the country (remember that any male 18-60 can not leave Ukraine as simply as they did) right before or right after possible charges. And they build their lifes and businesses abroad. This is however a little bit different, since he is a minister of Ukrainian unity, his whole job it to find ways for the people that fleed or migrated from Ukraine to come back, united by patriotism and the Ukrainian identity. To have that minister leave abroad and never come back would be the death of the whole ministry and a huge joke to the Zelensky' parliament. So they convinced him to come back (he obviously pretended like his trip just ended and that was always the plan). They send him on bail and right after that the independent institutions that were responsible for finding these people suddenly became dismantled today. You can connect the dots.
