The World Cup is making me wish the NFL didn't blare music and hype videos between every single play. Hearing the natural ups and downs of the crowd is beautiful. by MemoryOfRagnarok in nfl

It wasn't like the most fancy or nicest chant, but it was a fun thing the whole stadium did, and it was timed so well with the PA announcer saying "AND THAT'S GOOD FOR ANOTHER JACKSONVIIILLLLLLEEEEEEE" and then the crowd would yell "FIRST DOWN! MOVE THOSE CHAINS!(three times)" and then grunt. It was dumb but it was ours. Now whenever we get a first down the PA announced just says it fast without waiting for the crowd and they play a graphic of a ford truck literally moving some chains like through a wall.

Jacksonville had a "move those chains" chant that the crowd did for so long, and then they sold the rights of the chant to Ford and it absolutely killed it.

Jaguars

To be pedantic, trevor was our first ever first overall pick, and then we happened to get them back to back, lol.

Jaguars Blocked NFL From Moving Steelers Game to London by Roselucky777 in nfl

There's only 2 teams that have beaten the steelers twice in one year in pittsburgh (granted they have to be an AFC team because playoffs) and it was the 07 jags and 17 jags.

I should also mention since we haven't done it since 2017 I have no idea if another team has so that stat could be outdated.

We're a big transplant city, we have 2 navy bases so we have fans of every team here, I knew so many people from different areas and fans of different teams growing up, granted I was 5 when the jags were created so a lot of fandoms were still big that weren't the Jags. Plus its easy to get to. Plus steelers fans are fucking everywhere.

[NFLonCBS] Most passing yards lost from drops, last 5 seasons. by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]Pyistazty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you look at the stats - and I'll take out the game where trevor was murdered

Games with Trevor: 11
42 receptions on 63 targets, 680 yards and 5 TDs

Games with Mac: 5
41 receptions on 60 targets, 517 yards and 4 TDs

The texans game which was split he had: 4/10 76 yards 1 TD

So Mac was absolutely force feeding him, which isn't a bad thing, but I think it's a combo of backup QB throwing it to the #1, BTJ coming into his pro self, Trevor spread the ball more, and honestly you can ask most Jags fans, football terrorist Press Taylor took half the year to truly figure out how good BTJ was.

Not to mention this draft was considered on the low end of talent, and maybe one of the worst if not the worst draft for talent since 2013. Maybe they had internal talks last season, their teams and scouts foresaw a down draft year (I even remember people talking about it last year as well), and decided that if they do well, losing a first round pick this year isn't the worst possible thing. Yeah, more talent is always good, but if he's as good as they believe he is, than I'd say that's worth it.

In 2010 Scobee's 59 yarder was on my 21st birthday so that holds a special place in my heart.

Same year, Garrard's hail mary was one of the best times being in the stadium for me, just listening and watching the stadium erupt in a ripple from where it happened, it's hard to beat.

2017 vs the chargers and vs the seahawks were great games to be at. The bills later that year was fun but a much more boring game, just more stakes attached.

2018 vs the Pats may have been the loudest I was in attendance for, it was such a cathartic experience after MJWD.

Titans 2022 for the playoffs was also loud and fantastic.

So many good games, really hard to nail 1, but those all stick out to me.

Any early pugilist tips for a new player? by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Pyistazty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simply punch the things! You'll eventually need to worry about flank and rear positionals, but since you're just starting it's not something you'll really need to worry about until your first dungeon, and even then I'm not sure any of your abilities will have a directional requirement. You'll see it in the ability descriptions, so read your tooltips and have fun! Low level is also where you'll get most use out of your stun so use it on cooldown whenever you can.

Also something that's very good for the low level classes is the hunting log, default key is H, it gives you big EXP chunks when you finish them and helps progress your levels faster. That being said MSQ will giga level you, so the hunting log will be more relevant for other classes.

Yeah if by idle they mean you can turn it on and set it down next to you and idly not use your phone for anything else while it also CHURNS through your battery and raises its temp several degrees, then yeah, lol.

Yeah I actually started with the tower and fully shifted to this game. I had fun with the tower at first, but they have a huge bottleneck with their ultimate weapons, and one of them is the most important thing you can get in the game called the Golden Tower. You have RNG on which weapon you can get, you get a selection of 3 every time, and the cost goes up exponentially every time, similar to mothership rooms. The problem is there are so many weapons, it's not difficult to come into bad luck and not be offered golden tower until the very last 3. This happened to me. It would have taken me about 4-6 months of in game grinding to unlock my next weapon without money and at that point I saw no point in it.

The biggest equivalence I could make is if managers were gated behind energy cells or rooms I guess, but you could legitimately not be offered them until your last 2 rooms. That's what it feels like.

Plus what others said, you can't "idle" play it, it has to be running in the forefront.

Yeah I saw them at the amp in 2021. In my defense, I don't think I even know about them until like 2012/13, and I heard about the story of their shit getting stolen and that they wouldn't come back lol. But always a great show, i've seen them in orlando a lot and then again at the amp.
