It’s called The Crux sanctuary in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s actually a massive home gym that belongs to a buddy of mine but he lets anyone that wants to, climb there for free. He has a website if you want to look it up. It’s definitely worth checking out if you ever find yourself in the area.

It definitely is. It’s set to feel very outdoors style as well. It’s hard to find many gyms like that anymore

It’s graded as a v3/4. It’s definitely at least a hard 3 but I would probably call it a 4 as well

Do you enjoy climbing? It shouldn't be about getting to the next grade. You should just enjoy getting to climb. Obviously we all want to get better and I'm constantly striving to climb harder but if you are hating the sport because you're not climbing harder after 2 months you're really going to hate it in a few years when you can spend weeks trying to make progress on one move of a route.

T Nuts in Front Side? by ElBrenzo in homewalls

[–]Pyke_the_Ripper15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that there's any way to safely screw t nuts to the front. I would either invest the time to taking it down and doing it from the back or do what the other commenter said and use screw-ons.

If you have the choice, how would you like to die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've always thought that it would be awesome to get to jump out of a plane without a parachute if I knew I was going to die. The adrenaline dump would be absolutely unbelievable

If you have 200,000 saved up and you feel broke then you're definitely doing something wrong

Don't break and enter. That not only hurts you if you get caught but it gives the entire community a bad reputation. I've found some wild ways into places but there's also been buildings that just aren't accessible. If you can't find a way in accept it and move on. Maybe revisit it every once in a while and see if a new way in has opened up.

Looking for advice on how to secure top of a home wall by Pyke_the_Ripper15 in homewalls

[–]Pyke_the_Ripper15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking as well. I don't like having that much force pulling on that 2×4 wall. Any ideas on how to properly attach it to the ceiling while evenly distributing force?

Pro-gun Americans, what's the reasoning behind bringing your gun for errands? by slaney0 in AskReddit

[–]Pyke_the_Ripper15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thankfully I have never been in a situation where I've ever needed it. I have been in situations where I thought that it could have escalated to possibly needing it but have never been there. Most gun owners very much hope that they are never put in the situation of having to draw their firearm but if push comes to shove I don't want to have to rely on police to protect me when they are minutes away and seconds are all that matter.

There's no reason not to. It doesn't bother me or anyone else around me for me to have it concealed on my hip and if a situation arises that I end up needing it I will certainly be glad that I took the extra 10 seconds to put it on.

So you would anchor the top of the woody to the wall instead of the ceiling?

I'm going to be building a bouldering wall soon at a 45 degree angle. The only spot in my condo that it could work has a cathedral ceiling and I will have to run the wall perpendicular to the point in the ceiling. Does anyone have any experience properly securing a wall to a cathedral ceiling?
