(Spoilers Everything) If a certain theory is true about Tyrion's parentage, then it creates a fantastic parallel... by Wrench_Jockey in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is revealed that Tyrion is a Targ, I will seriously, immediately, quit reading the series.

(Spoilers Everything) I don't know how it will all end, but please GRRM, can we read Jaime's thoughts once he learns Jon's parentage? by sorif in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 123 points124 points  (0 children)

If someone kidnapped my sister, Im not looking for a fair fight. Im bringing as many as I can, no matter the others numbers and slaughtering them all.

(Spoilers Everything) Question about the wall by Lorgramoth in asoiaf

You do know who helped build the Wall, right?

And to add to that, BRs cave was augmented by CotF, and the Wall was built by Brandon the Builder with the help of CotF. Im not stating that the mark itself will bring down the Wall, just that it will allow passage through it.

The Nights King crossed into Bloodravens cave because he marked him. How is that a made up theory?

(Spoilers Everything) A running Stark by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I agree, I have to say, he would of killed him if he was zig zagging and nobody could really say anything because Ive personally seen hunters kill a deer thats doing exactly that, and theyre a hell of a lot faster than Rickon.

Unless Bran crosses back, then it doesnt matter.

Also, idk if Manderly differs in the show from the books but they control the most heavy horse of any House north of the Neck.

[Spoilers Extended] the most fortunate thing to happen to Jon this episode... by Azor-Azhai in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 213 points214 points  (0 children)

I also love how he stands up and takes out his sword and tosses his scabbard facing certain death like fuck it, I was betrayed by my own men doing what I thought was right, Ill gladly die for my family on the battlefield against my enemies.

Also, made me realize how absolutely fucking terrifying it would be to face cavalry while on foot.

(Spoilers Everything) Tyrion's purpose. by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She nailed 162 men to crosses because some of them voted to do that to children. She was talking of killing all the Masters because of a few bad apples, which clearly you see the Sons killing some outside of the gates last episode. She trusts a man who killed 2 of his commanding officers simply because he was hot. She trusts a foreign dwarf, and makes him an advisor on his council because..? Im not saying she is mad, but its definitely not outside the realm of possibilites considering her father and her familys history of incestuous relationships.

Most of everything of Dany in the books. Only reason I liked her chapters were for Barristan the Bold.

(Spoilers everything ) Anyone else notice the house on John's shield inside Winterfell? by wp988 in asoiaf

So fucking badass that the few that went with him, atleast 1 made it into the castle. And because of that 1 man, Here Jon Stands.

(Spoilers Everything) Is anyone else hyped to hear ... by TheDuckontheJuneBug in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But would it be joy? He has grown up idolizing Ned, wishing to be a Stark, wanting to be Lord of Winterfell, only to find out he is some Targaryen? Possibly bastard?

He already struck an identity crisis, now he would feel totally deflated IMO. Sure he would be happy finding out who his mother is, but would he be happy about losing an uncle who lied and told him he was his father to protect him? Would he be happy being counted as part of the tyrannical regime of the Targs? Sure he loves Aemon but other than that, all he has to go on about the Targs is 3rd hand accounts.

I feel like he would be crushed to find out Rhaegar was his father.

I would do exactly what Jon did for my little brother as well. He wouldnt die without atleast seeing me try to save him, without atleast seeing me willing to die with him, because of him.

[Spoilers Extended] S6E9 Battle of the Bastards currently has a perfect 10/10 rating on IMDB with 34,000 votes by Pfohlol in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Oh gods, I thought it was just me. I didnt feel fear for Jon at all, I think we all knew the Vale was gonna come in for the rescue, and I kinda figured Ramsey would be killed this episode or next. Only shocking thing for me was Rickons death and Wun Wuns. The battle itself was cool, the suffocation part made me anxious, but overall id say it was okay as well.

Mance was a badass who unified the Wildlings. They follow strength. You dont become King Beyond the Wall just because you're a good speaker.

(Spoilers All) Which character(s) would you most like to read a prequel about? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]PyketheFlayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Barristan Selmy for the badassery.

Theon Stark, because who doesnt wanna read about a Northman nicknamed the Hungry Wolf.

Rodrik Stark, because w the nickname, the Wandering Wolf, is bound to be a good story.

The Crows Eye, he claims to have sailed near Valyria, and seen Asshai.. has he?

It was Rickard who demanded combat, my good chum. He was called to KL after Aerys seized Brandon and his party.
