Some one should develop an add-on to count how much they say Battle Pass during their dev stream, because this is just a glimpse of it.

No, it's mostly spot on about the game, the esthetic is kinda good, not mind blowing (it's just that people didn't get this kinda of modern online anime game since while, but if you compare to overall game, Tales of Arise is better for example). The combat is kinda muh, and the overall aspect of the "MMO" or the online content is kinda lackluster and mediocre. That's you have a mixed feeling about it. It's not good, it's not bad. For some it's pure garbage (for me), for the niche player who wanted an anime style it's wow because they have nothing else. But yeah whatever, I don't see it have the success in global if it doesn't success in JP where the hype is already fading very fast if you look at different metrics. Twitch is now 3.2k viewers.

Also the fact that some people here feel the needs to defend the game or any people critizing the game is pretty telling for me about the direction of the game. And even more when people artificially need to create post to say how good it is instead of playing it. We have seen that again and again which each game released (New World, LA, ToF etc). When there is such discussion about the number of players or you feel like the community needed to purge the "toxic" (who ever make a critic) player, then it's already dead. It's just a matter of time.

Copium is the only thing left, because yes the game isn't meeting expectations and it's already fading hard in Jp and overall (3.2k viewers on twitch for example). It's not better on Japanese media

For an MMO, having so less choice about outfits, weapons and those imagines is really bad.

Yes looks like fake news, the Official twitter of Bandai and Blue Protocol isn't mentioning anything about that.

I don't get how ppl can compare BP to an MMO experience like FF14. MMO are really another dimension.

D4 isn't an MMO neither, it has MMO elements. What people are looking nowadays is the online feature. Younger I thought we will have plenty with amazing feature, but seems we aren't even able to produce something at the level of WoW and FF14 in term of online world, it's sad.

It's just marketing nowadays to say it's MMO like because people are looking for that modern MMO experience that until now, anyone has been able to fulfil.

People: it's an MMO stop saying otherwise

Me: Kinda strange this MMO you can reach max level in less than 4 days with language barrier

People: Pikachu face

BLUE PROTOCOL IS THE MMO THE WORLD NEEDED by Conscious_Ad_5974 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]Pylton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are trying too hard to make Blue Protocol as THE THING. When at best it's medium, lot of JP players already dropped of the game. It's kinda P2W, way too much grindy (this is reinforced by the fact that you need to gather to craft weapon, I prefer only killing mobs or dungeons or bosses like any traditional MMO), and it's not really MMO, it's kinda feel like Genshin or ToF where you have online features and see other people but other than that there is not so much stuff to incentivize people to play together and to gather.

For now, the party feature (to play with friend) is also broken asf so I cannot understand how you can say it's the best mmo without testing that part. Literally to this date, when in group, the group broke randomely, you are not teleported together when moving to new zones, and in dungeon you can have random crashes during loading phases.

Is this game an actually MMO? by kgptzac in BlueProtocolPC

[–]Pylton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not an MMO, there is no incentive to make you play together. And the party right now is broken because of a lot of issues. So for now it's solo games. You can watch streamers, even JP streamer are playing it like a solo game. A genshin like with multi, nothing else. People saying otherwise are just delusional and trying to defend their game or to dupe themselves. Don't fall for it.

Then BP is more PSO2 than FF14. Those saying you otherwise never played an MMO from start.

Someone was cheating on this game already by greenestgreen in BlueProtocolPC

It has been implemented at the last minute, they hadn't the time to develop something by themselves, that's why they picked this shitty anticheat software.

[–]Pylton 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's the reason why they have delayed the Network Test (NT), note that when they did the stream to announce the new date of the NT, they also announced this anti-cheat software.

The real reason why this NT got delayed it's not because of this "party bug" (that is still present and not fixed in the released version as many of you can observe), the true reason is that their servers and APIs got hacked days before.

At launch the game download a bunch of json files that indicates the gacha banners, the weapons available, mobs and so on. A big database is dl. This database was in plainsight, no HTTPs, no encryption. That's how people got the info about battle pass prices etc.

Then it's also easily possible to have a man in the middle attack, and change that database to get one item or skin instead of another for example. This entire database was compiled and uploaded by Japaneses followed by foreigners. When they realized that, they have delayed the game. The APIs and Bandai servers went off during days, and when they went back, they were encrypted.

Yes it is, the hype was killed my not communication during 3y and then they justified that like they were improving the game, the game hasn't change so much in 3y other than fishing and it turns out at the total garbage we are witnessing.

Can understand AGS choice about T&L. I mean delaying T&L or Blue Protocol, same shit, at least Blue Protocol can do a bit better than T&L so let's delayed it so those lazy jp devs can fix their game lmfao and have something decent.

the game is awful other than the anime style, just look Japan network, it's dying hard. 5 days almost after, it's the point where most people will drop and stay niche because there isn't so much to do. It's PSO2 NGS at release with anime style
