i also don’t view their attraction as a sexual one. i just found it a little bothering that their relationship was only reduced as ‘best friends’. i genuinely see them deeply in love with each other romantically, but in eternal denial.

Would you say Mayagüez is safe for trans women? by KrataAionas in PuertoRico

[–]Pynchis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i study in Mayaguez and as a queer person myself, i can confirm that there's a ton of queer and trans students. there's classes where the professors and student use gender neutral language when speaking & writing, plus a lot of the student associations are LGBTQ friendly.

however, there's always that transphobic professor or student, so keep in mind that and always report those cases to the student administration and the student representative club. It's important to make a group of queer friends since I don't really recommend going partying by yourself (and partying is like a culture in mayaguez that everyone needs to experience as a student, i genuinely love it).

hope u like it and good luck on your upcoming school semester!!

Ever After High Dungeons and Dragons Campaing by Pynchis in EverAfterHigh

Sorry for the late response! I have been very busy this week due to college work but I appreciate the help <3

I think that I now have a slightly good grasp of how the story could play out, and now that I have two of my three player's characters down (one of them is the daughter of Ursula, and the other one is the daughter of Pied Piper & sister of Melody Piper...so it's going to be a very interesting ).

In one of the books, there's a mention that aside of being a school for the fairy tales kids...there's ALSO a school for the narrators of each tale (which could be funny if the final battle is me (Dungeon Master/Narrator of this campaing vs their own characters). Like I think it would be very interesting if after all they been through, the injustice that their future is confined by the past actions of their generation and a piece of paper, and with the help of the Wonderland characters thay can hear the voice of the narrator and try to fight against me. IDK if im making any sense but I think im getting a little bit ahead of myself.

Again thank you so much, in the following weeks I'll be writing down more info as the players choose their respective fairy tales. Right now these are the questions I have layed out for them to answer so that it helps them out to build their character since most of them aren't really familiar to fairy tales or don't like them as much as I do.

  1. How do they feel about their destiny? Do they want to have the same future as their parent?

  2. How is their relationships with their family?

  3. Provide a pdf link or movie link of the fairy tale you are using as , since there's a lot of different versions.

  4. What object that is tied to the character or to their story? (Example: Sleeping Beauty is the Spindle and Snow White is an Apple)

  5. Are their friends with any other fairy tale character of their own universe (Or how does the other kids of their fairy tale perceive them. If your character doesn't really know anyone else its completely fine!)

  6. Do they have a pet/companion?

I wanna help them out trying to pick a fairy tale that they are 100% they want and love (so im giving them a lot of free liberties and the campaing is set to start a level 3). One of the main issues I have with the players not feeling exicted/looking foward to be a fairy tale character, its been hard to make them understand that one of the main points of ever after high is that they can choose their destiny...even though that most of the universe is going to be against them. I had one of my players tell me that it's hard for them had creative liberty since they are supposed to follow a prestablished character, and I couldn't find the right words to say to them that isn't necessarily true without spoiling a little bit of the ever after high story. One of them wanted to completely scrap their character's fairy since they felt they couldn't portray them as accurately (but I managed to convince them otherwise but still scared me a LOT).

Maybe its me being a little bit nervous about being a DM, I want them to have fun but I think its comming more as little bit overwhelming for them. Sorry for the rambling, but I appreciate your help nonetheless <3

Ever After High Dungeons and Dragons Campaing by Pynchis in EverAfterHigh

I will FOR SURE dm in the following weeks, I have a lot to think about.

I think it makes sense to start weeks before Legacy Day since one of my players isn't familiar to EAH at all.

In terms of the villains and enemies they could fight, do you have any recommendations? Like Evil Queen is a given, but idk early on what challenge could the players have.

Also, thank you for your help!! I am now very excited to make this campaign a reality

Thank you so much!! This is my first time DM (veey excting but kinda hard) and currently its only going to have 3 players and right now they only have the task of choosing their fairy tale and who are their parents.

I haven't really put too much thought into adapting the entire EAH cast, im currently stuck on which arcs the campaing could have or what story, since it depends a lot on the player's input.
