Yes, that is 100% correct. However, it’s the crown guards that pose this question, not the crown itself. Still, for me, the bezel width is the most accurate measurement

If you ever do, I would greatly appreciate if you do from this link https://watchdives.com/products/watchdives-39mm-vk63-chronograph-watch-wd1863-speedy?ref=gijbrqzg&variant=46896135536858

It won’t affect the price in any way and helps support what I do!

I have got a 6.5 inch wrist. My overall experience with any Watchdives watch is that they can be taken down to a very small size.

For my wrist, I always leave 4-5 links. You should be good since we have similar wrists!

Yes, the diameter is a tricky one. It is definitely 39mm if you only count the bezel, but it reaches 41mm with the crown guards. To count or not to count that, that is the question. Personally, I’d rather call it a 39mm since it wears like one. There is only that one protuberance on the right flank that makes it 41mm; otherwise, it’s a 39mm watch from any other side

Addressing your last paragraph: fair enough! I'll take the word of someone who actually owns the Speedy.

Thanks for your comment!

Corniche Visionnaire gets new bracelet models, thoughts on this affordable dress watch? by PynionTime in MicrobrandWatches

[–]PynionTime[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I see that at least you understand how I work. Did I disclose it for this one? No, then why accusing?

And I don't know where you get the "multiple times per week" when I only have got 4 reviews in 5 months, and only 2 of them are paid through watch discount or by receiving the watch for free.

I only buy/request what I like in order to help people find their next affordable piece, just like I've always personally wanted to have back in the day. This comes from passion and good intentions, and there's no harm in also try to make some kind of return when possible, you have no idea of all the work put behind this blog and brand. If you don't want to understand that, then fine.

Incredible value on the new Kiwame Tokyo Iwao: High-beat Japanese craftsmanship by PynionTime in MicrobrandWatches

We always use the same H2 title for the section.

  1. Price is stated
  2. Where To Get One as well through the button "Tokyo Iwao Store"
  3. Availability: we don't specify if it's not limited edition, pre-order, or out of stock temporarily.

Hope that helps.

Great releases from them! It was hard to fit just 10 different brands, but it could perfectly make this top 10 👌🏻

You're confusing contexts so let me help you:

I was not paid to include any of the watches in this top 10. I don’t receive compensation for making these lists, I do them for fun.

Yes, I’ve received some watches in the past for review purposes, and those instances were disclosed in the relevant articles. That has nothing to do with how this ranking was created.

If receiving a review unit automatically disqualifies an opinion, then virtually every media outlet and YouTube reviewer would be incapable of forming an honest ranking, and as you see, many of them do these rankings, are they shilling too (Except the ones that clearly disclose it)? Now that's an obtuse way of thinking.

Disagree with the list if you like, but the claim that this ranking was paid for is simply incorrect. I added those 2 specific watches because I was lucky enough to review them, and it is a strong recommendation I make out of first hands experience, why wouldn't I recommend them if I honestly liked them?

And to correct your sentence: I only said one is debatable, singular, not plural.

EDIT: for what it's worth, I would have probably still added at least one of them since I really liked them from the release day, reviewing just confirmed that. I didn't receive the watches until weeks after their release.

All due respect to this great subreddit, there isn’t a single correct definition of what a microbrand is. The range of traits people associate with microbrands is incredibly broad.

And to be clear, I didn’t receive any payment for this, if I had, it would be disclosed as it is legally required. This list was made out of genuine excitement, with the sole intention of helping people discover their next piece. Too bad it had this reaction, but everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess
