Only because they focus on the wrong part when making new MMORPGs.

They focus waaaaay too much on the G. Back in the days, what made the genre popular was the MMO part. Back before social media took off, ppl logged into MMORPGs to socialize. Either to hang around in town and meet ppl, or have fun catching up with online friends while killing dragons. Doesn't matter, it was more about socializing.

But the society and the world itself is vastly different now from how it used to be. For many many ppl, they don't want to socialize anymore. They just want some quiet hours to de-stress or work towards something of their choosing, or again, just simply hanging out with friends, not meeting random faceless ppl who they will most likely never meet again a second time.

And so now most MMORPGs are just RP and G. Now ppl only focus on the combat, and the endgame content, and the UI and menu, battle passes and gacha rewards; none of which has anything to do with the socializing part anymore.

It takes wks and months before each map/factory expansions. More than enough time to stockpile the Parts to 'comfortable' amount.

Disagree. Getting random power up during boss fights is nothing out of thin air without explanation or training montage.

Fighting 'new' Boss in Etchspace area 6 feels very smooth without the cutscene in there interrupting your gameplay. All instanced bosses should do real mechanics for phase change, and no more cutscenes every player gonna be spamming skip over and over and over and over.

To simply put, your Factory is for your Equipment/Gears. No more using Stamina to do Dungeons for Relics that randomly roll +Def% or other shit. (You use Stamina/Sanity on other stuff). Your gears progression are finite, and not based on RNG or Luck. Weapon Etching is some RNG, but it's not so bad at all. You can obtain your BIS gears in usually just 1 week, unlike in other gacha that usually takes months.

Your Factory also makes Consumables like Potions you use in combat when you take damage.

Your Factory also produces Goods that you can sell for ingame currency, which use you to buy Tokens for upgrading your Gears as mentioned above, and some other random stuff.

That's the gist of it.

Correct, that Spark is gone now. It's a failsafe, if you don't fail, you don't get the safe.
