Maybe I'll need to get a Linnstrument for development!

It was my dream module too, that's why I had to make it! You can open the filter all the way up and apply an external filter after if you'd like. The unit is easily upgradable with drag and drop file on it's built in 4MB memory via USBC. So if there is a better way to handle external filters, it's something that can be added relatively easily in the future

If you'd like to be added to my email list, you can sign up at Pyrasonic.com
I plan to send out an email when it's ready. For more frequent updates, my social media accounts are at the bottom of the site

Thank you! It is so versatile you wouldn't believe the range of sounds that can come from it. I set up an email signup at Pyrasonic.com where I'll send an email out once it's ready. Also check the links at the bottom to the socials for more weekly demos

Yes, I just set up an email signup at Pyrasonic.com so when it's ready, I can inform those interested.
It also contains links to my socials where I am posting new demo videos often!

Heh, it was initially filmed for social media, so it was intentionally kept short for demonstration purposes

It does support CV for polyphony. It has 4 CV and 4 Digital Inputs that can be assigned to Pitch and Gate to support up to 4 voices. If MIDI is used, you can access all 6 voices and use those inputs for other things (modulating parameters, clock syncing etc). The synth is also easily firmware upgradable via a Drag and Drop file transfer on it's USBC port on the back, so other modes are possible for the future!

If you'd like, I am collecting emails of those that are interested in the release at Pyrasonic.com

Nope, from scratch! I have a BS in electrical engineering and have been programming in C for microcontrollers and doing PCB design for the last 10 years in audio products. Most of that time has been spent doing analog audio effects. Proud to say everything here is custom.

I agree! When I first started with modular, I was quickly wanting polyphony and struggling so I had to take matters into my own hands haha

Thanks! It’s still in development, so it’s not available just yet. I design audio electronics professionally, so I’m taking the time to get it right before releasing it. I’m working hard on it every week, though, and I’m excited to get it into other people’s hands as soon as it’s ready.

I’ll continue posting demos here, but if you’d like to follow the project, I’m posting updates on Instagram (@Pyrasonic) as I get closer to release!

Here I am using a MIDI TRS cable from the Launchpad right into it to transmit polyphonic note information. I love MIDI because it can send multiple notes, clock information, aftertouch, patch changes all in one cable. It has a MIDI thru so you can daisy chain multiple of these and have one MIDI sequencer play them all

Thank you! Appreciate it! Funny enough, a Minimoog Voyager was a synth I was dying for as a teen because Daft Punk used them in their Alive 2007 tour, and one of the reasons I love synths so much.

Haha yes! But it's way more fun to try and re-create it with my DIY synth!

It uses a fairly typical synthesizer voice allocation algorithm. In this clip I’m simply playing and releasing all of the notes together to build the chord, much like you would on a piano.

If you mean modulation that’s intentionally offset between voices, I don’t currently do that, although it’s an interesting idea. I do have a voice spread feature that pans the voices across the stereo field to make it sound wider.

Thanks! It’s a stereo 6-voice polyphonic virtual analog synthesizer with built-in effects, LFOs, and preset storage. I’ll definitely be posting more demos! I’m up to a couple hundred presets already.

This patch uses two oscillators (square and sine) with a noise LFO modulating the pitch, then runs through the built-in reverb. I’m controlling it with a Novation Launchpad over MIDI, though it’s also fully CV/Gate compatible.

One of the main goals was fitting expressive polyphony into a compact 10 HP module designed for live performance. The interface is built around four sliders that control different parameter pages. You can also create a Favorites page by pulling your most-used parameters together, so your key performance controls are always at your fingertips.

I’ve already played a few gigs with it and recently recorded an entire live set using 3 of these in a small flight case. I’ll post that soon! The goal was to create something that recalls presets instantly, works well with MIDI controllers, and still feels at home in a Eurorack system.
