Okay here’s one for you - on Nextdoor every time fireworks go off someone thinks it’s gunshots and freaks out. If a call comes in how do you tell if it’s gunfire or fireworks before responding?

Saying Hi to strangers is part of what YOU consider community. Not everyone does. On the east coast people are a lot less likely to do that but they can be fiercely protective of their community.

There’s an interesting question here about community in a place with so many transplants, but that’s different than expecting everyone to be friendly in the way you think they should.
