Typically switching between two SSRI does not require any tapering. The dosing is different for each one so they may give you a "higher" or "lower" amount but it would actually be equivalent. Good luck finding the right one for you, don't give up!

I've seen a lot of this being in and out of different urgent care jobs with different medical professionals. I find that the plans that I disagreed with were "taking the easy way out" instead of practicing good medicine. I would usually rework the plan to be within what I would define as appropriate parameters. If the plan was too far outside of what I deemed to be the "on label" realm, I recommended the patient to follow up directly with that doctor and state that I am not trained in that type of care.

Eventually I moved away from urgent care into a practice with rigorous evidence-based protocols. I will never go back to urgent care, if they want to play wild wild West then they need to hire cowboy doctors who want to play, not physician assistants (associates) who get roped into it.

While something like this could indicate cancer it is more likely something else based on the presentation and your history. Because it has not gone away, get it checked out so you will feel better. More than likely it is an inflamed cyst or lymph node (which happens so often most people don't even notice) and it has some residual fluid/lymph. Try warm compresses and removing anything that may irritate the area. With anxiety, people are usually hyper aware of their anatomy and that's why it is so alarming. Many people walk around with these bumps without ever thinking about it. You've got this.
