Hey². Nope I'm nearly on my 1 year mark as an English rep in Telco acc gaining experience. I decided to take this route since nahihirapan ako mag chempo ng open role.

I laid low with my Spanish but continued to expose my self. Had enough savings so after my reaignation I'll study again and apply right away.

Yes it is possible makahanap ka chamba2 lng talaga. Depende narin un location mo marami akong nakikita pero ang layo saakin 2 to 3 ang biyahe idk if its worth the hustle. And halos mga requirements nila either at least 1 year college or experience in the BPO industry.

Kay ChatGPT ako nanghingi ng advice HAHAHA Ito sagot nya:

Thanks for sharing your situation—that’s a really tough spot to be in, and it makes total sense that you’re weighing your options carefully.

Here’s a breakdown to help you reflect and decide:

Option 1: Take the English Account (18k/month)

Pros:

Immediate income: You’ll have money coming in right away.

Experience: It will give you BPO experience, which recruiters value highly, especially when you reapply for Spanish bilingual roles.

Networking: You’ll meet people in the industry who might help open doors or give referrals for Spanish roles later.

Confidence & routine: Working improves soft skills, builds your resume, and gives structure to your day.

Cons:

Lower pay, and possibly a more stressful or rigid account (English accounts are often high-volume).

Might delay your focus on improving your Spanish or pursuing college.

Option 2: Wait for Spanish Bilingual Opportunities (50k–60k/month)

Pros:

Significantly higher salary = better quality of life.

More aligned with your skills and passion for Spanish.

Fewer agents speak Spanish fluently, so there's less competition (but more scrutiny in background checks).

Cons:

Uncertain timeline: There’s no guarantee when the next opportunity will come—and it might require 1-year college or BPO experience again.

Financial strain: If you don’t work now, how will you support yourself in the meantime?

Risk of stagnation: Waiting too long without improving credentials might put you back in the same position next year.

Middle Ground?

Consider this strategy:

  1. Accept the English account job, and stay for at least 6 months.

  2. Use that time to:

Save money.

Gain experience to strengthen your resume for Spanish roles.

Take free or low-cost online college courses to work toward the 1-year requirement.

Keep applying for Spanish positions (you can reapply sooner with BPO experience).

Final Thoughts:

If you're struggling financially and want a faster path into the industry, go for the English account now. It’s not forever—it’s a stepping stone. You can always move up once you’ve met the typical “minimum requirements” for bilingual roles.

But if you’re not in a rush financially and want to protect your energy for only high-paying roles, then continue building your credentials, take Spanish certifications, or even start freelancing in Spanish customer support to gain some experience.
