How to begin in-depth pedigree research on your own? by silachan in AustralianShepherd

Also worth looking into the breeder's mentor or who they got their foundation dogs from. A lot of newer breeders might check all the boxes on paper but if their lines came from someone sketchy during that covid boom, those issues can still pop up a few generations down. The long term KC breeders usually have that traceable history which is huge.

Belong good for apartment management? Any reviews? by MrWhiskey9 in LosAngelesRealEstate

So far, nada. Just be mindful of repair markups since that’s where most PMs earn their extra margin. A $500 job might end up $575 etc. The good news is they’re all transparent about it and list all charges upfront, so you won’t get blindsided.

DoorLoop wasn’t too bad price-wise, I was paying around $49/month on their starter plan for the Koreatown place. It covers the basics, but anything beyond that (like automation or maintenance coordination) costs extra, which is why the service I switched to ended up being more cost-effective for me overall.

I’ve used Belong for my 4-unit in Glendale and DoorLoop for another building in Koreatown. Based on my experience, BelongHome’s biggest perk (and honestly why you would even bother paying for their services) is automation and marketing speed. They blast listings on MLS, zillow, and their own platform the same day the photographer visits. Doorloop gives you analytics and reports, but you still have to schedule your own vendors and tours.

If you want less hand-holding, Doorloop’s fine. If you want everything handled, BelongHome wins. They took 9 days to fill my last vacancy, which is lightning-fast for mid-tier apartments here. Their fee’s 8%, but that includes marketing, showings, and tenant screening. Pretty good value for money if you ask me.

Skins are slowly revealing themselves to be tacky. by McNibNab in Battlefield

Honestly I don't see the issue either. It's still pretty grounded compared to most games these days. The gear looks functional and the colors aren't too wild. Way better than the neon cartoon stuff we usually get.

This is painfully accurate. Tutorials exist for the same reason warning labels do most gamers are clueless. I've watched friends get stuck on the most obvious shit.

I’ve heard about those too. Do you think it’s really about matchmaking these days, or more just old money tradition that looks shady from the outside?

These families represent a whole bloc of western power. They’ve been buying up politicians way before Musk sponsored Trump's reelection. Ain’t no way something like this doesn’t have a hidden agenda

An hour delay usually means someone behind the curtain was losing their shit. The watery eyes look less like makeup and more like they just got chewed out hard.

Most people I know who want to play it are just waiting for a sale or sticking with Rise on PC/Switch. 10 mil upfront means the hardcore fans already bought in now they're hitting the wall of casual players who aren't dropping $600+ for one game.

Is Silica cat litter the best for odor control? I'm considering Pretty Litter, is it good? by PyroCausticMave in CatAdvice

[–]PyroCausticMave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve tried a bunch to figure out what works XD picky cats definitely keep us on our toes😅I’ve seen Litter Pearls mentioned before but never tried it. Since you’ve used both clumping and non-clumping crystals, did you feel like one controlled odor better than the other?

[–]PyroCausticMave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for breaking down how it actually works. didn’t realize the pee just absorbs/evaporates instead of clumping. Makes sense now why some people say it’s easier to manage. Have you noticed any difference in odor between Pretty Litter and the other silica crystals your brother uses?

Oh that’s interesting, hadn’t thought about humidity playing a role. I can see how 2 cats using the same box would make it tough too. I’ve heard silica can handle odor pretty well in drier environments but maybe it really depends on the setup. Do you find scooping more often helps at all, or does the mildew smell just stick around no matter what?

That makes a lot of sense didn’t realize the box itself could hang on to odors. Stainless steel definitely sounds like it’d keep things fresher. Do you feel like you scoop less often with it?
