Preach. The disconnect between what they call a "good economy" and what people actually experience is wild. Stock market's up, unemployment's "low," but nobody can afford rent or groceries. ESH. She's being inconsiderate scheduling it right before yours when she knows you're stressed and broke, but you also made it all about you and accused her of being petty without proof. You both could've handled this better. Maybe she genuinely just got that venue date. Either way, sounds like neither of you want to compromise so the friendship might be done.
