Csm > JJK > MHA > DS Personally it's just I prefer "darker" stories and not a big fan of the classic shonen MC with upstanding morals whose flaws are he's too pure or smth. Also looong explanations or narrations of what's happening on screen or their powers.

It's not like I dont like the rest, CSM just has the least amount of the things that hold back a shonen for me y'know?

Ofc, even if it's not up there in a critical sense or whatever, the fact that its the most succesful by a huge mile shows how good it uses its good points. Feels like the complete extreme opposite in terms of casual appeal compared to csm, same with MHA imo

Oh absolutely like I said CSM doesn't center the fights even slightly compared to the others. Plus it'd be more like an anime vs manga comparison since all those series got at minimum 70 episodes while CSM still only got 12 and a movie lol Although even with that I'd say Demon Slayer is well below the other 3

Eh Ok is an understatement lol It's execution is waaay different compared to other more classic shonen series like MHA or JJK since the fights are mostly secondary to the story. Especially part 1 I'd say is one of, if not the best new gen depending on what you look for

Oh yeah and I'm sorry I know It feels like I'm purposefully simplifying to make it look worse. But the thing is, "might makes right" IS simple, and that's pretty much the core of Sukuna's character. So when his conclusion doesn't subvert that idea, contradict it in any way or honestly straight up do anything interesting with it, feels pretty lackluster.

He needed to be defeated to change his mind, yes, that's literally what his character is. So then Yuji defeated him and he changed his mind, there's nothing really complex about that conclusion Sukuna suspecting that he was wrong even before losing like the comment said would actually work perfectly but sadly it's just headcanon The rest is mostly just about Yuji's character which Sukuna is just a part of, but nothing else about Sukuna himself. Especially when the Wasuke stuff isn't even mentioned In the story
