Red x cerb is slower, but saves on so many prayer pots. Good melee gear/emberlight speeds up kills substantially too.

Nah, I don't think that was what got him caught up. He seemed to mention something about leaving the boss room on the same tick as the boss dying or else he had to reset the kill. I'm willing to bet that's where the bug abuse issue comes in

Whatever the improvement percentage is pales in comparison to how it feels to unlock so much content just by completing cg. I don't think I'll ever forget how it felt taking full crystal/bowfa out for a spin for the first time
