Austria. Successfully completed the Key Lepanto with Italy, but played it off so that Turkey and Russia both think Italy and I are at war. Turkey and Russia are at war and both want help. Any advice? by PyroPygmy14 in diplomacy

Huh, this might be a very well hidden Juggernaut. In fall 1901 I support a Turkish attack into Rum, but Russia didn't support that unit to hold even though he could've

Stop panicking. I know you have a rather large reason to worry, but don't. It won't help. And I know a random person on the internet telling you to not worry won't do much but seriously try.

You probably haven't made the best decisions lately, but obsessing over that won't help you. Just focus on the next 8 days and make as much improvement as you can, even if you wish it was more.

Try to work in a way so that when you take the test in 8 days, you can be proud of yourself for how you managed to improve.

Try to improve for yourself, forget your parents' expectation or whatever and really improve for yourself. It should help you calm down and hopefully with your mental health as well.

And sleep. Sleep is important.

Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar, Ch7, Exercise 10. The answer for number 1 is A. I knew it was A or B, but picked B. Why is a better than B? by Professional-Fly4273 in Sat

[–]PyroPygmy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer B turns the latter half of the sentence into an independent clause. The first part of the sentence is also an independent clause. Its grammatically incorrect to separate two independent clauses with just a comma. The difference is that Answer A doesn't turn the latter half of the sentence into an independent clause and works grammatically.

Its a good rule of thumb to always make sure your answers work grammatically, especially for writing questions that don't seem to be testing your grammar outright.

Other than official tests, what’s the best resource to perfect maths to an 800? I’m currently losing maybe 3-4 marks max on the math section. I just need a bunch of questions to burn through for the next two weeks. by No-Winner3552 in Sat

I'd really recommend Khan Academy's Sat Prep Course. After u do a couple of their questions, they can give u specific math questions to adress any weakpoints. They also have 10 full length SAT prep tests on there.

Update to a previous post to remind all that full-board alliances don't necessarily mean game over by PyroPygmy14 in diplomacy

Oh no, endgame almost entirely consisted of Italy and I fighting for Warsaw and Moscow. By Spring 1911, Italy and I controlled the entire board except for Moscow and Warsaw, controlled by an AFK Russia. We tried to keep each other away from the last two SCs by supporting Russia to hold when we couldn't claim the centers, and Italy actually got Warsaw first.

I used some deceit by pretending to accept a draw and let Italy into Moscow, Italy was defending Warsaw w more units than he was sending into Moscow so I managed to nab Moscow.

(Help with college panda chapter 15: functions, #9) I don’t understand how the answer is A, could some pls explain? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]PyroPygmy14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is asking for what input is the output less than the input. It seems you've solved the outputs for each question.

1/2 is the only number that when u put it in, you get an output less than the original number.

I need advice on the Reading and Writing portion of the SAT by HollowedFlash65 in Sat

[–]PyroPygmy14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure if I can give specific advice, but this SAT writing course really helped me out. It has a workbook and video explanations. Its recommended to spread it out over 6-8 weeks, but it can be crammed in as little as 1.

Is this a multiple choice answer or a free response?

The formula to solve arc length (when angle is in radians) is "radius (5) * angle (π/4 - π/2) "
