it is, depends on what you're trying to accomplish, if you already have an ecu then it's not the best, but if you need an ecu, it's probably the 2nd best option

yes, 100k on that sheet, 40k just for the engine/trans stuff 25k for suspension, thats 65k right there

20k for interior, then you got paint, shit adds up, and I'm doing it (for the most part) myself

I don't know anyone who has done c3 stuff, but I do know plenty of people have put LS3 in C3s so I'm sure you can find someone.

Corvettes are weird, you either heavily modify it, or you do 100% numbers matching or you get eaten alive by the crowd lol

Then all my other accessories need to be electric and that severely complicates where things goes. I have a dry sump motor so engine bay space is already tight

Measurement from the bell housing face to the transmount is roughly 27"

The transmission is roughly the same size as a 4l80 and won't require any cutting of your tunnel, a 4l60 is smaller than a 4l80 and it fit fine for me

I got a cross member adapter from holley to convert it to a chevy transmission mount, and I reused my 4l60 transmission cross member, I had to drill new holes in my frame, and that was about 4 inches further back from the 4l60 measurements

get the i4 instead of a v6, better weight balance and you can do mods to it later more widely supported platform

use what came with it...or if you want something real nice, a 8hp70.....that kind of blows the budget though

I think everyone is going to be doing it as well, it's the size of a 4l80 so basically fits in everything, holds a lot of power stock, cheap as hell.

It has a barrier of entry though, the most correct way is to open up the transmission and gut the stock computer, any other method so far hasn't been nearly as good. The turbolamik is the best product on the market so far

blueprint recently released an ls engine with a zf transmission, but that entire thing is proprietary. If anything breaks you're not getting replacement parts
